I decided even though I feel really ill, upping my dose from 125 to 150 was not a realistic thing to do.
I saved my money up and had a full set of bloods, sadly I screwed up the lilac tube and I will redo when it arrives.
My thyroid results this time are similar to last time Jan 2025
TSH: 0.01 mU/l (Range 0.27 - 4.2) -6.62%
FT4: 22 pmol/l (Range 12 - 22) 100.00%
FT3: 5.4 pmol/l (Range 3.1 - 6.8) 62.16%
My Vit D result was 67
I still feel the same and I still feel upping the levo to 150 is not an option?
I have started the Vit D starter protocol and I do have the Thorn VitB complex arriving any day.
My question is, is my t3 to t4 ratio still not particularly good, do you think it will improve with the supplements? do you think a private Endo would prescribe t3 on my current results.
At the moment I feel so rough I'm looking for the quickest way to feel better. Just like everyone else.
Thanks

I’d try coming down a bit, you might feel better, maybe just reduce by 12.5 mcg on a few days a week not all 7.
Symptoms of over replacement are weirdly similar to under.
Yes as you optimise the vitamins conversion can eventually improve. Although for some it never does.
If you were to introduce T3 you would need to reduce your T4 more.
There are some papers quoted here on the forum, somewhere talking about risks of high in range FT4. I can’t remember who posted them. Might be worth checking pinned posts.
For me, I get very sore eyes and styes when my FT4 is around 22 or over. I also get palpitations (I can hear my heartbeat).
Thank you for the link. It's a very interesting debate. I definitely think it needs to be discussed. I've been on levothyroxine for ten years and never felt well, I spent 7 of those 10 years on 2 antidepressants at maximum dose and still very depressed. All this did was damp me down so I wouldn't fight for myself. I had had no depression until I had my first hashimotos flare. This is why I'm very interested in T3 as I'm working through my options to see what works for me.
