Short history - No diagnosis or medication. Swelling in neck that on ultrasound showed to be a thyroglossal cyst duct. Also 2 small nodules on thyroid. Seeing an Endo in March.

First bloods in November showed that most of my vitamins were low, so I've been taking supplements and all have improved but still a way to go.

However, even with Vit D and B12 and ferritin improved, I'm still very tired, sensitive to cold, pain in my lower neck and back of head (not the cyst), dizzy, foggy and forgetful, night sweats, bloating, spots, irregular periods and tinnitus and emotional issues.

No antibodies detected.

Just wondering how the thyroid results look to those with more experience of these things.

Nov 2019

TSH 2.16 (0.27 - 4.2)

Free T3 5.2 (3.1 - 6.5)

Free T4 15.6 (12 - 22)

Feb 2020

TSH 1.93 (0.27 - 4.2)

Free T3 4.18 (3.1 - 6.5)

Free T4 14.8 (12 - 22)

Many thanks.

With a Ferritin level of 15 (12-300) it was mentioned that low ferritin can suggest iron deficiency anaemia and your GP should do an iron panel and full blood count. Were these tests done?

You need to retest Active B12 to see if the spray has helped.

Both sets of thyroid results are within range and classed as euthyroid (normal).

Hi.

No The GP only retested my ferritin. And as result was in range, although low, she wasn't concerned.

My b12 has nearly doubled after 2 months of the spray to 63. Vit d is now 91.

My ferritin is still quite low, although improved a bit, so I'll try harder with that.

As mentioned in reply to your previous thread, your Ferritin level was just 1.04% through it's range and you needed to ask your GP to do an iron panel and full blood count to see if you had iron deficiency or iron deficiency anaemia.

If you take iron tablets when you have sufficient serum iron then you risk iron overload so an iron panel needs to be done before taking any iron tablets. If you do take them your GP should monitor regularly and test every 2-3 months.

Thank you. I didn't understand this. I will push for the right tests.

Echoing SeasideSusie about Ferritin.

I & my mother both struggle with low ferritin and when as low as yours was at 15 we feel like death warmed up. Even when at low end of in range is too low for me I need it above 70 to feel well.
