These are by blood test results on metavive 11 I was taking three tablets a day obviously not enough. before that I was on nature thyroid when I could afford it or Thyroid S as a standby. I thought i'd give the metavive a whirl as Dr Peatfield recommended it.

serum tsh 4.37 (0.27-4.2)

serum free t4 level 10.3 (12.0 - 22.0

serum free triodothyronine level 3.9 (3.1-6.8

vit b12 level 525 (197.0- 771.0

serum folate 9.3 (3.3-19.3)

antibody (XabCy 94.2 (0.0-34.00

ferritin 95.88 (15.0-150.0)

I am now trying the t3 from Greece as I tested positive for the dl02 on both sides I have worked my way up to 3 25mg tablets a day I am a bit in the dark about t3 and cannot get another blood test on the nhs for three Months.

I am also going through the menopause I did start using the serenity cream that Dr Peatfield recommended but I don't think its made much difference He also said I had adrenal fatigue. However I haven't seen him for a while as I just can't afford it. I also think there is something else going on I had a mri scan as I had a niggling cough and to check on a nodule from a few years ago. I was told the nodule had shrunk but my thyroid is smaller. I seem to have a similar cough to the one my Aunty has (her thyroid is growing into her lungs). I wonder if they could have missed something.

Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Sorry no advice from me, I barely know my arse from my elbow but good luck with establishing medication that works 😀

Hi your TSH is too high and your FT3 to low. This indicates an increase in NDT.

Coughs I know nothing about sorry, but your Aunt should have her thyroid removed if it's growing downwards. Mine was doing the same and it can cause the trachea to suddenly shift and cause instant breathing problems.

Persistent cough can be acid reflux due to low stomach acid. Common hypothyroid problem when under medicated, as you currently are

Also if you have Hashimoto's then consider dairy intolerance as possible cause of persistent cough
