Has anyone else recently switched from Adrenavive to Nutri Adrenal ?
Cost of Adrenavive being the main reason ?...
I’m in the process of switching,..I’ve switched half .....I think successfully.
I was taking two doses of Adrenavive a day...one Adrenavive 111 at 5 am with my NDT
And one Adrenavive 111 at 11 am with a vitamin c
When I’ve been in a better place I was taking an Adrenavive 11 then instead.
Two Adrenavive 111 daily equals roughly £33 monthly....rather a lot I’d say !
Four Nutri Adrenal a day costs about £17.50 month .....a much better scenario...
But I’ve only guessed at these equivalents...I’m not sure there is an exact equivalence....but wonder if in experience other people would find that two Nutri would equal one Adrenavive 111..and therefore one Nutri would equal one Adrenavive 11.....
ANY THOUGHTS ON ALL THIS ANYBODY ?
We need to individually get this right, as in times of more severe stress, where we’ve successfully treated ourselves with Adrenavive......we need the confidence to know that we’re safe to continue along the road with Nutri Adrenal as a reasonable substitute.
I use Dr Rinds temperature graph with his method of measuring Adrenal stress ....I’ve always found Adrenavive up to the task of getting my temperatures stable so I can raise my NDT......Nutri needs to do that particular job as well ...
So I’m on half and half at present....and would like to switch completely,,,.
Could do with any input from others who’ve been down a similar path,..and then I may have the courage to go the whole hog and simple take two lots of two Nutri Adrenal daily,

I was using Adrenavive lll, my adrenal tests were disappointing even after almost a year on it.
Because of the cost and the fact the new stock wasn't in when I needed to order my next lot of Adrenavive, I decided to change. I was going to have Nutri Adrenal then found Nutricology Adrenal glandular which is the same as Nutri Adrenal but cheaper (still a good brand). It's too early to say if it's going to be better, equal to or worse than Adrenavive.
The one thing to remember is that Adrenavive is Adrenal Cortex only. Nutri Adrenal and Nutricology Adrenal are glandulars - the whole gland providing tissue from both the medulla and the cortex, so it's not a straight swap. There wont be as much cortex in Nutri or Nutricology Adrenals as there is in Adrenavive lll.
Jollypolly Edited to add - Adrenavive lll is 250mg adrenal cortex. Each capsule of Nutri Adrenal or Nutricology Adrenal is 100mg adrenal glandular (total of cortex plus medulla). So 2 x Nutri/Nutricology Adrenal is less in total amount than 1 x Adrenavive lll, then take into account it doesn't give the exact amount of cortex in the glandulars, so it has to be less than Adrenavive lll.
Well yes..I can see that not really the same product at all..
I asked Dr P about it very briefly ..
He said he’d done both supplements...he’s on Adrenavive now I think..
But he didn’t give me any idea of practical equivalence...
With reference to your allusion to tests following use of Adrenavive...
I’ve done no tests at all dut to cost, but in experience.li have to say that with adjustments to dosing with Adrenavive, I am able to get and then keep my temps stable.
Interesting about your alternative product,.ill look into that..thanks.
The adviser at Nutri said to me that there are no hormones in Nutri Adrenal..
But she thought there must be in Adrenavive..
I have no idea at all ! And not sure what difference that would make anyway, in either !
I can't remember the details now, but a while ago there was something about NutriAdvanced saying "such and such" was in Adrenavive. I contacted The Natural Choice to ask about this and was assured that the only ingredients in Adrenavive are adrenal cortex and rice flour (filler) and that they had no idea why NutiAdvanced was giving incorrect information about a product they don't produce.
If you change to the glandular, I'd be interested to hear how it goes
I'll see how I go with the adrenal glandular considering I haven't done too well on the adrenal cortex. If the glandular pushes me even further back I'll try the Klaire brand cortex - nice price! Or maybeI should try both together - get a bit of everything
I too am finding Adrenavive a bit too pricey. I've found another adrenal cortex - 250mg per capsule at a price of £32.61 for 120 capsules. A lot cheaper than Adrenavive. It's by Klaire and there are a couple of sites online where you can purchase them. I buy mine from Your Health Basket. I've found no difference between the two.
No I haven't tried either of those. Thorne, if you are taking a large amount of adrenal cortex, isn't cost effective. Thorne is only 50mg per capsule - works out dearer. Nutri Adrenal, I believe, is still the whole glandular but in a smaller quantity (100mg) than Nutri Adrenal Extra which is 200mg.
You probably are like me taking other supplements so would prefer to keep costs down but without compromising on quality.
Like Angel_of_the_North, I used to take Nutri Meds which was very much like Adrenavive but they stopped making them. Klaire is very similar to these.
I didn't do a straight swap, I had to transition gradually. I am very sensitive to any changes with regards to thyroid meds and adrenal cortex and with the cortex I did notice an adjustment of about a week or so - I went a little hypo.
The Klaire capsules you will notice are smaller than the Adrenavive although both contain 250mg. It means that the Adrenavive although only has one type of filler in actual fact contains more filler than the klaire hence the larger size of the Adrenavive.
There was a period of my body adjusting to the new adrenal cortex. But it certainly is effective. We are all different as to how we react to adrenal cortex. if I take too much - even the smallest amount - I get very hot but that is just how I react to cortex regardless of the make. I feel over stimulated.
I think it may well be easier for you.
Please let me know how you get on - I would love to know.
Thanks Mischa..very helpful...I did actually launch straight in this am...I still took my one Adrenavive 111 at 5..but then swapped the 11 am one for Klaire,,I’ll see how that goes for a week.,
I didn't find Nutri adrenal (or extra) any use at all, but Adrenavive III and its predecessor Nutri-meds Adrenal cortex (which you can't get in the UK any more) both work well for me symptom-wise.
That’s interesting...I did wonder...I’m surviving at the moment ..just..I feel...having swapped my mid morning Adrenavive for Nutri Adrenal,,but I’m very aware it may just not be food enough..and perhaps I’ve rightly felt reluctant to swap my morning dose..l.
I shall look into thi xortex Mischa has mentioned...
If you don't mind the fillers, there are also other brands with 250 cortex. I tried most of them at one time or another, but never found anything as good as Nutri-meds or Adrenavive.
