I would like to have the others opinion of what should I do now?
I have Hashimoto. I ve stopped taking the levothyrox ( dose37.5) for 1 year since the french health authority has introducing the new formular of levothyrox which has been causing many problems to other patients in France. Since stopping the levo I have checked my tsh and the doctor keep tells me it s normal.
I have also started to eat gluten free hopefully will help with the autoimmune. The problem is that my anti tpo has raised up a lots. My doctor ask me to have an echography cause the last time I did it was 3 yrs ago and there is no nodule but just a very tired and damaged thyroid gland.
Could you please look at my latest result and give me some advice. I do not feel all that great these days. Often,I have tingle in the tips of my fingers and dry month. I drink plenty of water but I dont eat much these days. I have lost some appetit and I have lost 8 kg since.
Here is my result july /2018
TSH 3.9 ( 6.2 in feb/ 2018)
T3L 3.7 (4 in feb/2018)
T4L 12.2 (13.4 in feb/2018)
Anti thyroperoxyd 204
Anti thyroglobulin 1756
Folate B9 6.4
B12 571
VIT D 32 ( 43 in feb/2018 )
I ve stopped also taking my vit d supplement since i ve raised the level from 10 to 43
Here is a short video about your antibodies. youtube.com/watch?v=Z5SaM0R... It's good you are going gluten free. All three of your thyroid tests are too low and will get lower if you do not go back on some form of hormone.
Cholesterol is usually high for hypothyroids but cannot tell without the ranges. Was there a H for high or L for low on anything besides your T's?
He said natural hormone is not good for Hashimoto? I 'm confused now of what to take again.
I'll also have to go back to take my vit d 2000 everyday now to bring the level up to 50-60
Then may b go back to 25g of Euthyrox which is a substitute for the old formular levothyrox in France.
But thinking about going back to take the synthetics hormone scared me. It hasn t been a good experience at all.
Anyway I also have pain on my right hand low rib cage since some months and it makes me worry now if this has to do with inflamation of pancrease or liver like what the Dr Rutherford talked about in the other video. OMG Am i dying?
By the way, thanks so so mucjh for being so kind n took your time to reply to me.
I feel good to know that I m not all alone fighting this.
I completely understand about the amalgams. We had a talk on metals and how they love to attack the brain. I also am not going to be able to remove them.
Yes, increase your D, get a D3/K2 combination and if you want to raise your levels you need 5,000 per day for a while. D3 helps all other hormones to work. I would love to get some advice on balancing all hormones. This man seems to have good thoughts.
I can't figure out your cholesterol but your HDL is good and your adrenals need lots of cholesterol right now since your thyroid is so low so I hope your cholesterol is high enough. I know docs worry about it being too high but I don't.
Your pancreas is on the left, haha. I'm not sure if your liver gives pain in the front or the back. Often they recommend alpha lipoic acid or sylimarin Milk thistle is sometimes used as a natural treatment for liver problems. These liver problems include cirrhosis, jaundice, hepatitis, and gallbladder disorders. Some claim milk thistle may also: Provide heart benefits by lowering cholesterol.
greygoose lives in France so if you want to "find member" you could send her a private message. She knows a lot but you need to go back on hormone or your adrenal glands will really sink.
I haven't had a chance to watch the video but I do feel chiropractors are much better informed than M.D.s and Dr. John Bergman is GREAT and understands the condition. He looks at trying to overcome Hashimoto's rather than treat it. Many people feel it is incurable but that's due to the fact we don't find out about it for about 15 years and our thyroid is shot.
Thanks so so much once again for your kind answer.
I ve been so much educated with this site.
However yesterday i went to the emergency with pain the chest and hard to breath and the pain in the back right rib. The doctor at emergency told me she will do blood tests and to do the MRI of the chest to see my heart cause i have a low blood pressure n pain in the back may b there is something wroug with my artery. The doctor suspected something and wanted to b sure if it is what she thinks or not. She told me may b or may b not. OMG I was so scared n refused the MRI and told her I ll talk with my cardio doctor n left for home. She asked me to sign the paper that i refuse doctor treatment and i could have a faint, heartattack or die!! I started to think that may b stop the levo could have an impact on my heart and so on..
Is it common to have heart problem with Hashimoto n hypo?
Good grief, and MRI for a pain. I'm so dismayed by the medical profession. In the old days they would give you intravenous magnesium to relax your muscles and possibly do an electrocardiogram. That is where you might see something stemming from the fact you are not getting enough thyroid hormone. A common problem could be that the left ventricle may become enlarged and there may be a lag in the r wave. I don't think this has killed anyone but I'm sure many of us have suffered with it since doctors do not treat hypothyroid patients well enough. I don't think it creates enough pain to notice even if you have these effects.
The blood vessel issues in heart disease are more apt to be caused by transfats and vegetable oils and lack of omega 3.
There are many causes for pain. Don't panic! Did the pain go away? This also is a component of being hypo because it affects the nerves and nerves cry out sometime. I think many issues can be reversed but you need to give your body what it needs.
Your heart needs T3 and of all your thyroid tests, at least you are IN the range but you sorely must start on hormone. Would you be against using T3? Many people here are taking ONLY t3 including me. If your last dose of T4 was 37.5 you were not getting nearly enough to reduce TSH .
He emphasizes the need for T3 also to take a lot more vitamin D. I would add vitamin A also. He's right, it's better to treat it as an autoimmune condition rather than JUST a thyroid condition.
youtube.com/watch?v=UMa_8oh... Clark also thinks that the immune system will attack the NDT you take but I need more convincing. I don't think they know exactly how that happens.
He also mentioned Dr. Datis Kharrizian who is doing research at Harvard University. I get his newsletters and since everything that is happening to us has to do with the brain and that is his project. It's all about inflammation and that includes your brain. I like Rutherford's approach and most of our seminars are from FUNCTIONAL medicine doctors. I've been cautiously suggesting that the inflammation caused by high stress which lncludes high cortisol and being in the fight or flight state chronically is deadly. Rutherford talked about meditation and that is the quickest way to reduce this type of stress. A doctor I followed for years said if you do nothing else....take time out of each day to practice meditation. There are many ways and devices to help.
He also talks about low oxygen on a cellular level. This is a new doctor I really like, Zack Bush and he is attempting to cure leaky gut and reduce stress. This workout is good for releasing nitric oxide. youtube.com/watch?v=PwJCJTo...
Yes the old formular drug has been on the market but not long ago. There was a long wait for it n it is called Euthyrox made by Merck Germany.
I was taking the new formular for some months n my TSH is at 2 which was good but I felt something is not right; I didn t know that they have changed the formular until later in july last year. With all the horrible stories, i decided to stop as i didn t take a strong dose only 25/37.5 which someone here has told me it s still too low n I should increase to make my TSH lower. I didn t feel all that great so didn t follow the advice. TheN I had a blood check in dec months after stopping the levo. The doctor told me my result is normal. Then i was thinking ok i can live without Levo which may b a big mistake. I really wish I could avoid the Levo. : (
