Help with results please

Hi, I have just received my latest results from Blue Horizon, and I was hoping someone could give me some advice, as I am slightly disappointed with the results.i was put on 50mg thyroxine for the first 2 years after having a TSH of 9, then thanks to this site I persuaded the doctor to up it to 75mg in April of this year as I realised I was undermedicated.i have joint pains in my wrists, elbows, knees and ankles. Foggy brain has improved slightly. My results are as follows:

TSH 3.15 (027-4.20)

TT4 103.0 (66-181)

Free T4 16.70 (12.0-22.0)

Free T3 4.54 (3.1-6.8)

Reverse T3 17.0 (10-24)

Vit B12 419 (250-569)

Vit D 76 (50-175)

Serum Folate 32.20 (8.83-60.8)

Anti-Thyroidperoxidase 79.4 (<34)

Anti-Thyroglobulin 283 (<115)

Ferritin 94.8 (13-150)

At my last Blue Horizon tests in Feb 18 my Folate was 7.94 and Vit D 55 so I have been supplementing and that seems to have raised my levels so far.I was wondering if my dose needs increasing as my TSH was 2.87 in feb,0.57 in june, 1.30 in sept and now oct it is 3.15 ?? I feel I am back to square one.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

As you say you need an increase. You also need to take b12, best nearer 1000 and under 500 Can cause permanent neurological damage, has done me.

Your folate is doing good, vit d still a way to go.

As you have Hashimotos I am afraid you will find your levels fluctuate 🙁

thanks for your reply fibrolinda. When you say vit b12 should be nearer 1000 and under 500, what do you mean exactly? the blue horizon range are saying if its anywhere near 569 then consider reducing dose, but that it should be above 250.I am pleased with the vit d levels they have increased from 55.The spray is obviously helping.

Sorry having a mad day AND foggy brain. The ranges for b12 are too low according to many experts inc the Pernicious anaemia site. Levels below 500 can cause permanent nuero damage and they advise levels nearer 1000 is optimum... according to all info I was given. Darn it I cannot seem to add links today,., If you look at Seasidesuzies advice on supplements there is all you need to know, her knowledge is amazing.

Do you take vit k2 mark 7 with your vit d? It helps direct calcium to where its needed. I use better you spray, vit d inc vit k . So sorry I'm not being much help... If you ask the question about b12 hopefully working brains (and tablets grr) will give you the info you need

Thanks for that info, I know what you mean about the foggy brain!! Yes I use the better you spray too. Where do you purchase your Vit D with vit k from? I use healthspan better you but don’t think it has vit k with it. Cheers for your help

Your hashies could have caused more damage to your thyroid by now and you could well need an increase. Your doc should have booked you in for another blood test 6/8 weeks after your increase. Push for it in around two weeks time that way you will see if it’s a flare up or more damage resulting in your thyroid struggling. Hashimotoes does cause it to jump around but I wouldn’t take it for granted that it will return to your previous level
