RU678,

You need to chase up your practice about the B12 injections if you are supposed to have them every 3 months.

5mg folic acid should be prescribed for 2-3 months for folate deficiency.

Ferritin is optimal halfway through range. If your GP won't prescribe iron you can buy it without prescription. I would supplement 2 x 210mg Ferrous Fumarate each with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Take iron 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.

VitD 800iu is a maintenance dose to be taken once vitD level is replete >75. 800iu is not enough to raise your vitD >75. You can buy vitD without prescription. I would take 5,000iu daily x 6 weeks then reduce to 5,000iu alternate days and retest in April. VitD should also be taken 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.

You need to ask your Dr why your iron/ferritin and vitamin levels are so low. Ask him if you have a gut absorption issue which could be caused by Coeliac, taking certain medications or something like Candida. Something in your gut is stopping you from absorbing nutrients and your Dr needs to investigate why
