Make an appointment with your GP and ask/insist on 25mcg dose increase

They very rarely do FT3 (even when patient is on T3!)

There's no vitamin D test. Ask that they do this

Your B12 and folate are low, but probably not low enough for GP to consider supplements

You might benefit from good vitamin B complex and/or B12 sublingual lozenges

If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

If not strictly gluten free already then suggest you try it for 3-6 months. High percentage with Hashimoto's find it essential

Since you recommended going Gluten free on a post last week I have done this - and already feeling much better and my throat issue has subsided a bit. So thank you very much. I really appreciate the help.

Arafff,

You were undermedicated in August and are very undermedicated to have TSH 13.57 while taking 125mcg Levothyroxine. Ask your GP to increase dose. Dose increases are usually in 25mcg increments every 6 weeks. You should have a follow up thyroid test after 6 weeks to check levels as you may need a further dose increase.

The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.3 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email dionne.fulcher@thyroiduk.org if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.

Ferritin looks okay.

Folate is low in range, halfway through range is optimal. You can raise folate by eating more green leafy veg or by supplementing 400mcg folic acid for a few months.

B12 336 is unlikely to be deficient but if you have symptoms in b12deficiency.info/signs-an... go to healthunlocked.com/pasoc for advice.
