My latest blood test results:
THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE *<0.005 mIU/L 0.27 - 4.20 FREE THYROXINE 16.3 pmol/L 12.00 - 22.00 FREE T3 5.52 pmol/L 3.10 - 6.80
These look good to me but the doctor's comment was
"Your thyroid stimulating hormone is low whilst you have normal levels of thyroxine and T3. This suggests that your dose of levothyroxine/T3 is too high. If you are free of symptoms of an overactive thyroid then you may prefer to repeat the test in three months to assess the trend. If you are experiencing symptoms then you should discuss this result with your GP and/or consider a dose reduction"
Why do these results suggest the dose is too high?
I don't have any symptoms of overactive thyroid and am now more or less free of symptoms of underactive thyroid
