It means that you probably have Hashimoto which is an autoimmune disease. It is known to swing your tsh from high to low. The day you had the test done it was a good level but who knows what it would be like now. The fact you also mention hyper and hypo symptoms also points in the direction of an autoimmune problem because when you are having a flare your thyroid sputters into life and causes all sorts of confusing symptoms. I'm in the same boat, I suspect I have Hashi but doctor refuses to confirm it so I'm just patiently waiting to see what my next results show.
I was diagnosed hypo 2007 and eventually on 125mcg levo. 2 years ago started to go downhill, tsh all over, symptoms hypo, hyper. I asked for TPO test in Nov, result raised- I have Hash's. Local endo slightly increased my meds, no other treatment offered. I then paid for a private ultrasound scan, showed thyroid severely atrophied! I am now reading Robb Wolf "the Paleo Solution" Gluten in diet not good if you have Hashi's going to try the diet! Hope you get sorted. This site has been a godsend for info and support
Funny you should mention gluten, I have been having digestion and bowl problems as well! last year I did a Coeliac home test, which was positive. Went to the docs they did another coeliac test which came back as 'not likely'!! I'm beginning to think that all this is related!!!!
