I would like to know where to get vit B12 supplements and how much to take my vit b12 was 157 (197-771) Dr gave me 5 loading dose's of vit B12 and did a PA test which came back neg so no more action needed. and vit d 3 results came back 64.2 (50-75) adequate (75 +) Optimal so again no action needed but i would also like to use supplements. Already on folic acid 5mg once a week, was taking 5mg daily for 10 weeks but now reduced, results were 2.2 (4.6-18.7) now they have new reference no recent test shows >20 ng/ml (3.9-26.8) again no action needed. My latest TSH is 9.43 (0.25-5.00) Free T4 15.9 (9.0-23.0) and T3 3.6 (3.1-6.8), because of this he has now put me back up to 150mg Levo, and say's my T3 is within range so won't put me back on T3 so i am trying to source that myself. I would really like to know best place for B12 and how much to take as a maintenance dose, Also Vit D, D3, and if i need anymore Vitamins, Thanks for reading

Crinkle28,
Has your B12 level been checked post injections? If level is good then 1,000mcg methylcobalamin alternate days should be sufficient to maintain levels. PAS forum are the experts so you can check with them healthunlocked.com/pasoc
Vitamin D is optimal around 100. I would supplement 5,000iu daily x 6 weeks and then reduce to 5,000iu alternate days and retest in 3-4 months. Take vitD 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.
Best to wait and see what your thyroid levels are on the increased dose 150mcg before adding T3. Your thyroid function should be retest 6-8 weeks after you were increased to 150mcg.
I buy my vitamins from Amazon. If you buy on Amazon please use the affiliate link healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
No because my PA was negative so go said no need to retest. I will get all of it retested in about six weeks. Thanks for your help I will order the supplements and see how I go.
Yes don't do Addibg T3 yet. You are mostly under medicated and when you get the other things optimal that will help a lot as well.
crinkle28, please take a look at the PAS forum - links that Clutter gave you above.
the test for PA (IFA) is notoriously prone to false negatives - 50-60% of the time so a negative result is a long way from proving that you don't have PA. PA is just one absorption problem that will leave you needing injections for life so even if it isn't PA that doesn't mean that you shouldn't be on injections for life.
