Hello All, I have been reading posts and replies for several month now and learning all that I can. I am on Thyroxine 100mg daily and have been for 12 or so years apart from a short spell when i had 125mg.The previous 8 yrs I was on 25 mg daily. I have an anual bloodtest and have never troubled to find out a result, trusting the GP to let me know if all was not well.
I am generally run down, aching joints and muscles gasping for air in the middle of a sentance and can no longer add double figures in my head, something that was so easy once. There are no doubt lots of other niggles that don't come to mind at the moment. I look forward to hearing from you and will follow advice so that I may become well again. I did stay off the |Levo for a few days before the test I asked at my new |GP surgery what my last TSH was, its the only test they do it was 3.9 (no range given(in November last yr.
I have Fibrous Dysplasia and Long QT syndrome.
I have stopped taking Omeprazol as it has been placed on the list of drugs to avoid re the QT, its causing arithmias I think.
Pleas look at my blood test results and comment.

Oh Mary... I'm so angry on your behalf that your doctor is a complete and utter numpty. I realise you say you hadn't taken your levo for a few days before testing (we usually say just don't take it on the morning of the test) but to leave you on 25mcg for 8 years, then just leave you on 100mcg for even more years, all based on your TSH... Words fail me. Does he/she not realise that long QT syndrome can be caused by undertreated hypothyroidism? There are clinical papers out there on this stuff.
But your bigger problem right now, by a mile, is your low B12. That's seriously low, probably because of all the years on omeprazole, but possibly because you've had pernicious anaemia in addition to your Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease) - it needs to be checked out.
Low B12 causes all sorts of symptoms, some of which feel just like undermedicated hypothyroidism. Here's a list of them - see how many you can tick off (I'm betting it's loads): pernicious-anaemia-society....
Please go back to your doctor, show him the results of your Blue Horizon test and tell him/her that you want to be investigated for pernicious anaemia. They may try to fob you off, but believe me, that B12 needs treating as a matter of urgency. Don't be tempted to supplement beforehand because it would skew the results and your doctor will probably want to test again.
Big big hugs. I'm so sorry this has had to be such a battle x

Jazzw , thank you for your kind reply. I did have b12 jabs 7yrs ago as low at 206, the prescribing doctor retired after the initial jabs and another doctor said that I'd be fine now. My long qt is most likely genetic as we have had two sudden infant deaths. It is untreatedand u investigated. I will make an appointment on Monday to get the b12 sorted out. I clicked on the pa link and have all the symptoms less one. Once again thank you.
