I have recently changed over to ndt. So far so good. Except my hair is falling out which started 3 months ago whilst on Levo.
After seeing 4 different endos and traveling from malaga to London to see a dr in Harley street I still havnt been lucky enough to find a good one that actually cares about my drastic hair loss. He did recommend a mountain a vitamins and minerals though and now I don't know when to take them all as I take my ndt at 7am and again at 3pm.
I have to take the following;
selenium 400mg
Biotin 5mg (I think)
Vit B x 2 and B12 x 5000mcg
Zinc 30mg
Omega 3
GLA
MSM methylaulphonymethane
Ferratine and vit C in one tablet (ferrograd c 325mg )
Peptin (with protein meals)
My question is; can I take omegas oil and gla oils with the other vitamins. I know I have to take the ferratine 4 hours apart from my ndt. But as for the rest, are they ok to take together? Also is there any other vitamins or minerals you suggest for hair loss
Thanks

I take a vit B complex with breakfast - so that's your VitBs and Biotin, best taken early on apparently.
Lunchtime I take my fish oil & evening primrose - so for you that would be the omega3 and GLA
I take the rest with my evening meal.
Sorry, I don't know anything about MSM
Zinc is best absorbed at bedtime, but the ones I've got say take with a meal, so I take them with my evening meal.
Biotin is fine, but recent posts on here have shown that it can upset the thyroid blood tests, so I suggest that you stop taking it for 2 or 3 days before your blood tests. Start again after the tests.
For suggestions for hair loss, google 'hair loss deficiencies' and you may find some useful sites.
did he test u before telling u to take all this....hence too much selinium or vit a also causes hair loss and low and behold mine was high and i have no clue from WHAT.......so make sure he is test vit a,ferritin , selenium.......bec too much is as bad as too little
Oils are in effect food supplements. Be careful they are high quality. Some fish oils are polluted. The body knows what to do with them though if they are good quality. . It is a very very low dose of vit C. I don't think I would take it with ferratin in it. C gets used up quickly and Ferratin .. Iron? is something that can accumulate. To heal, 5 grams (5000mg) of C a day is not an excessive amount at all. I am always hesitant to take individual minerals like zinc because I know it needs certain other minerals in order to be absorbed. I take a mouthful of a liquid, highly bioavailable mineral supplement each day. Message me for details. I do take a b complex and some selenium. I use good omega oils on salads. Natural vitamins and minerals are much better than synthetically produced ones. It isn't what we take, but what our bodies absorb that counts. watch Dr Andrew Saul or 'That Vitamin Movie' to understand more.
Thankyou so much. All taken on board. Yes now you say it it is low vitamin c. Never thought of putting the oils on salads. I have a problem with absorbing anything, that's what got me into this mess! Will Defo watch that movie too.
