Did it work for you hair growth?

Hi everyone, am I right in assuming that Follate tablets do not contain Biotin and are therefore okay to take before a thyroid test?

She doe take gummies for healthy hair and they contain biotin. So wondering how it interferes? Thanks for your feed back.

I’ve only just found out that Pregnacare conception max, that I used for ages, contains Biotin, which can affect blood hormone readings when you have tests for things like thyroid function, and even AMH!

Hello, could you tell me how many days before having a blood test ( TSH, T3, T4) I need to stop taking biotin? I am taking a minimal dosage of 50mcg, but I don't want it to interfere with the test. Thank you

I understand that Marmite contains biotin via the yeast extract. Does this mean no Marmite on toast for a few days before blood test please?

I've read you should stop biotin 6 weeks before testing for true cortisol reading and my SST is booked for 17th Oct - only 3.5 weeks after stopping biotin again.

my alopecia aretera doesn’t seem to improve despite me taking biotin 5000 mcg, citracal + D3 - 400 mg calcium, vitamin D 12.5 mcg. My endocrinologist says results are good! Thanks

But T3 and T4 marginally improved but to be honest I was taking biotin so that could be a false high. My question is who’s having good results with either of these?

I take calcium citrate, magnesium citrate, biotin with zinc & selenium plus Omega 3 (approved by Consultant ).

I’m aware of the biotin advice. If vit D levels were ok, say 150, would magnesium be necessary? I have been taking mag glycinate and it keeps me awake, unlike reports to the contrary. Vit D3 and K2 spray alone took me up to 150. Many thanks in advance.

Blood draws before 9 a m .....no biotin for 4 days prior....no T4 until after the blood draw.

I've learned, thanks to all the knowledgeable people here, that supplements containing biotin need to be stopped several days before bloods are taken 👍No problems with that but what about cosmetics, shampoo and conditioners that contain biotin? Would the biotin in these products be absorbed?

I've seen where people have said if you are older it's not unheard of to be dizzy from biotin but I just bought the 5,000 mcg biotin plus keratin and wasn't sure until I read these what could have caused my dizziness but I'm only 35 and took one of these last night and once I woke and stood I barely
