A small rise in PSA What do you think of my plan
Just a note, I could only tolerate 500 mg of
Zytiga
for a 2 yr period which make me think Xtandi may work better. We have to schedule blood work draws now rather than walk in. Next MO visit in 2 weeks and I'm on a 6 week cycle.

Trying to Make Sense of Husbands Testosterone History and Wanting to Clarify Why a Doctor Feels He May Be Becoming CR.
Ketrocondazole, according to the American Cancer Society, is right under
Zytiga
as a drug used to lower testosterone produced in the adrenal glands. So that being said, he does take drugs to lower testosterone but they aren't sexy enough to be prescribed. Thank you for your thoughts.

Zytiga no longer working, moving on to Enzalutamide.
Has anyone tried it after
Zytiga
and was it effective/non-effective? Thank you all so much for any replies.

I realize its hopefully a marathon but when should you sprint.
Several weeks ago after
zytiga
failed some months back it appears that xtandi is the next to fail. My PSA is increasing, from 0.08 to 0.4 and now, three weeks later who knows, my next m.o appt is April 17th, labs and lupron and zometa, at the same time.

How I'm boosting my immune system
And I'll be watching my PSA but I hope that it won't climb too fast and force me to go back on the
zytiga
or maybe change to zaludtimide. Everyone keep well and keep safe. And God bless us all.

[EAU-2020] Enzyme inhibition for overcoming CRPC.
He reported on a series of studies that showed STS increases intracrine androgen production in CRPC cells, promotes CRPC progression, and confers resistance to enzalutamide and abiraterone acetate (
Zytiga
), whereas inhibition of the enzyme suppresses cancer cell growth and improves enzalutamide treatment

Sharing husband's hospital chemo experience today during Covid-19
He had low PSA throughtout four months on
Zytiga
only to learn he had a lot of mets, and
Zytiga
hadn't worked at all. So scans are the only way to track his tumors. He'll get complete scans again in June--another long day in a CV19 setting. He thought the precautions seemed adequate.

Zytiga ineffective after 12 months
Zytiga
is no longer effective, was 1st diagnoses in Nov 2018 with widespread Mets, 9-10 Gleason, and PSA above 1200. I realistically expected to see 10-18 months benefit from the chemo which is what I got. Initially tried docetaxel but had complications.

Slowly Rising PSA
In March of 2019 started
Zytiga
. And in November started Xgeva. His Psa has been trending upward past two times. And Alk Phosphate going down. And in light of this Covid 19 it’s making me anxious. Any questions you think I should send his MO? He’s at a teaching hospital.

Borders and Chemotherapy
Been on Erleada, Zolodex, Xtandi, Casodex, and
Zytiga
recently. All failed eventually. Doctor said Docetaxal is all that is left in the bag. I started last week. Now the problem. My wife is Canadian, I am a USA citizen. We had planned to move to Canada soon.

In these uncertain times I know, I am not the lone ranger. But ?
Zytiga
previously failed after 16 mos, rad prostectomy 2016 and radiation 37 sessions. Currently on zometa infusions every 3 months and lupron on same day. Next round April 13th. I have a pet auxium scan to see is I have additional Mets. L3 blasted 3 .months ago.

Zytiga 2020 Part D Criteria Change?
Does anyone know if there has been a recent change in Medicare Part D approval criteria for
Zytiga
? I ask because I'm experiencing a delay in refilling my
Zytiga
prescription through UnitedHealthCare.

Looking for ideas how to decrease constant fatigue
He's on Lupron and
Zytiga
; just had radiation to decrease bone pain. He's trying hard to maintain a positive attitude. He's also experiencing lots of fatigue. I know this comes with cutting off testosterone; are there any ways to counteract this effect?
