Zytiga

today we had our appointment 14 weeks after starting zytiga.

He did 8 weeks of full pelvic radiation , 2 years of Lupron, and 1 year of zytiga. We see the oncologists at OHSU in Portland, and they are fantastic.

I finally got 26 radiation treatments at MSK in January 2022 and started Orgovyx and Zytiga with prednisone in November 2021 ( 5/22 PSA 0.2 , testosterone <3) . MSK RO and MO Rx ‘d 18 to 36 months of ADT plus Zytiga based on STAMPEDE .

. - PSA started rising (got to 40) in Summer 2020 and started on Zytiga -Scans showed 30+ mets to spine, ribs, pelvis but no soft tissue or lymph nodes mets. - Had genetic testing and have BRCA2 and HOX13B mutations. - Zytiga worked for 7 months and PSA dropped to 10. - Started on Docetaxel in Fall 2021

Pre Zytiga and Xtandi we were doing 4-5 mile walks each day. Ed is still very weak and continues to lose weight, but I am hopeful that Keytruda is going to help. Note: Ed’s weakness has nothing to do with Keytruda.

Seven weeks on Zytiga and I am tolerating the side effects ok but the problem is my psa is still creeping up does anyone know if that means it is failing

I keep reading that other drugs work better (Xtandi/Zytiga/other ones I can't remember, possibly along with Lupron?). Nevertheless, do I stick with JUST what's worked (Lupron/Casodex)?

Treated with Lupron every three months. 28 EBRT and now Zytiga 1000 mg/Prednisone 5 mags daily. PSA at start of treatment 8.5. PSA today .04. I am also a Type 2 diabetic. Have any of you diabetics, using Zytiga, seen an elevation of your glucoses?

I was told I could stop Zytiga without any tapering. So I did so but now I have flu like symptoms. No fever but headache, shakiness, and fatigue. General feeling of unease. Anyone else have this experience? If so, how long do these symptoms last?

Has anyone failed Zytiga and tried Xtandi and if so how did it work and are side effects tolerable?

I've been on 250mg Zytiga and 5 mg prednisone daily since January. I've been getting double vision and blurred vision since I started. Anyone else having vision problems?

Started Firmagon 7/6/2022 Zytiga with Prednisone 7/20/2022 and Docetaxel Chemotherapy on 08/11/2022 Ductal Prostate Cancer is aggressive, it cannot be monitored by psa score alone.  As it can still spread by low non existing psa numbers. 

I have been on abiraterone for about a year and a half along with Lupron. I’m currently seeing a cardiologist because the last two weeks I’ve developed heart palpitations/arrhythmia. Of course it’s always hard to pin the blame but I wonder if anybody else had heart issues when they were taking abiraterone

I have been off of ADT (Lupron/Zytiga) for about a year and a half - my PSA remains at about 0.2 since my testosterone came back about a year ago (currently at 250 ng/dl). a couple of months ago, both breasts started to hurt. They did swell under ADT but have remained constant since I went off.

He of course still on his 3 month Lupron, 1000mg Zytiga and 5mg prednisone. Thank you again for listening.

I am just beginning Zytiga. I take meds for diabetes and A-Fib. Can anyone tell me how you incorporated Zytiga into your daily medication regime?

Also I began Eligard every 4 months with daily Zytiga 1000 mg and prednisone 5 mg x2 daily in June 2019, my psa took quite some time to reach .24 and stay there, but lately it began dropping again. Is this normal? It's at .19 as of May 16.
