BAT (Bipolar Androgen Therapy)
Very disappointed - really wanted the BAT to work - was only on
Zytiga
for 5 months before PSA started rising.

Failed Xtandi monotherapy, failed Lupron from very first injection, considering Zytiga or clone
Medicare part “D” donut hole plus 2 or 3 months before

Taxotere/Zytiga, an interesting blend. Based on an NEJM monograph.

With good Zytiga response, do I really need Lupron for adjunctive ADT pre-Brachy?
Scholz at POS recommended Casodex, Lupron, and
Zytiga
together. Due to delays in approvals, and whatnot, the first 3 weeks I was on Casodex alone, dropped PSA from 33 to 21. Then added
Zytiga
+Pred for last two weeks, and PSA dropped to 4 on just 3/4 dosage of 3x250mg (my choice to ramp up).

Radiation for Advance Prostate Cancer?
I started firmagon two months ago and
Zytiga
a month ago. My MO and radiologist suggested I now start radiation treatment of the prostate. I am undecided if I should start the radiation. Is this common practice for advanced prostate cancer?

What’s next? Hearing different approaches from different people.
It seems like usually
zytiga
or chemo or both are given. I didn’t see any reference to fisfetrol in the forums. What would you suggest?

Viewer Discretion Advised
I started 1000mg
Zytiga
with Prednisone . Two weeks later PSA had fallen to 15.1. The drop continued and by Feb 2019 PSA was at 12.2. PSA then rose to 15.6 by March and continued to rise to 19.6 by April 24th.

Confused but elated about last results. Any suggestions for fatigue?
My father just hit the 6 month mark today of being on the lupron and
zytiga
. His PSA came back less than 0.02 and I am so happy about that. But a PET/CT scan he had done a few days ago came up that he has 3 osseus lesions in his bones.

Onc's visit results
Zytiga

4-Year Anniversary Today Since Diagnosis ... Still Going Strong
Eventually reached 1.8 and then on to
Zytiga
plus prednisone. PSA back to undetectable. Last summer I had my prostate removed at MD Anderson - they diagnosed me as oligometastatic and decided to give this approach a shot - clean margins and no cancer evident outside the prostate.

Are there any studies of those switching from Lupron to Degarelix or an orchiectomy due to cardiac risks of Lupron?
My husband's PSA is doubling on
Zytiga
and he cannot go back on Lupron due to the severe cardiac risk. Options given are an orchiectomy or back on Lupron. They are also looking for a genetic possiblity. He's been off Lupron since June of last year and on
Zytiga
alone.

Prednisone Dose for 1000 mg Zytiga (Abiraterone)?
Just started Abiraterone on Friday and have been taking 5 mg prednisone 1x daily. Not sure where I got that dosing level but today I noticed the label on the prednisone bottle says 2x daily. Is there a preferred dosing level for prednisone? I’ve found both 5 mg 1x daily and 5 mg 2x daily on creditable
