Slowly Rising PSA

Husband dx 7/2017. Psa 489.

Initially thought he had neuroendocrine differentiation. But treated with Docetaxel and Lupron. In March of 2019 started Zytiga. And in November started Xgeva.

His Psa has been trending upward past two times. And Alk Phosphate going down. And in light of this Covid 19 it’s making me anxious.

Any questions you think I should send his MO? He’s at a teaching hospital.

Sept .68

November.56

They then switched from every 3 months to monthly

Feb. .60

March .62

0.60, o.62, 0.56, 0.68.....Thats not really rising..its fluctuating in very narrow range. I will not be concerned and great that AlkPhos is declining. In bone met cases, ALk Phos is as important as PSA.

Why did you think he had neuroendocrine differentiatiation? What about covid-19 is making you nervous?

When he first got his biopsy the pathologist noted that. But then I took the slides to NY to get a third opinion and their pathologists said it wasn’t too apparent.

I’m anxious about the Covid-19 because I know it could be fatal for him. We have been practicing social distancing for about a week now.

Thank you for your response it is a bit reassuring. I thought the same because it’s not like it’s doubling but figured it was worth posting.
