Zytiga

His medical oncologist changed his Oral drug to Zytiga with prednisone. He is told not to eat anything two hours before and one hour after Zytiga. And usually prednisone is taken after a meal. So should he take Zytiga and take a break of one hour and then have prednisone after the meal?

how many here take their other meds with Zytiga. I’m on several other meds and have occasional nally missed these doses waiting an hour to take them…..is it ok to take other meds with Zytiga…..? Technically meds are not food.

I’ve been on the Zytiga/Lupron/Prednisone cocktail for about 13 months now. In that time, my A1C has shot up to where now I have diabetes. Now I know this is a possible side effects of this therapy. My question is, when I’m supposed to come off Zytiga (in about a year) does the A1C drop as well?

Orgovyx and Zytiga brought my Gleason 9 cancer to a PSA of 0.67, but after 5 months my PSA has slowly risen to 1.59. Would it help to switch from Zytiga to Zanda? Poollover

I have 2 options to think about: 1) to wait untill PSA reaches around 0.7 or more and than another PSMAPETC as I did before. 2)ADT+ Zytiga immediately and see what happens. Your opinions? Thank you all.

Once Orgovyx and Zytiga and Xtandi are no longer stopping my PSA from rising rapidly is there any point to continue taking them. My PSA is doubling every two weeks. It has gone from 0.67 to about 16 in two months. Poollover

Also with Zytiga or Xtandi is one better than the other as far as life expectancy and does either have worse side effects. Cheers & many thanks Gary

CR after lupron and zytiga metastatic. Effective for 50% of patients. That sucks

My partner just started zytiga and the literature on the side effects is very scary. Would like to know how severe are the SE and what to expect? And if there anything he can do to minimize them. Especially the liver toxity?

I was wondering if the blood tests every two weeks for my husband who is on zytiga will continue while he is on it for the next 18 months? Or stop once his body is acclimated to the medication?

Been on Zytiga over a year, taken with Xgeva and Lupron. During the two pill test period of Zytiga, no food - 2hrs and + 1hr, my T and PSA became undetectable. Convinced the powers to continue with 2 pills to possibly reduce side effects and prolong effectiveness.

I do not want to waste yet more time if zytiga is not going to work as I already lost 8 months to get started in this drug change! Thanks boys!!! REMEMBER TO LIVE LARGE !!

Would it be possible to re-start an anti-androgen ( Zytiga, daralutimide) as therapy? What choices does he have going forward?

Hi all,Landed in USA 1 month back and will take consulting from onco in next month, expected Zytiga will be continued. In india I had been using abiraterone generic. What is the practice here? Does most of you use Zytiga brand med or here doctor prescribes generic brand?

Husband diagnosed 9/23, finished 6 rounds chemo on 2/21, is on Zytiga and Orgovyx currently. Concerned about the rise in PSA, would like input. Thank you.
