How my lupus diet is going -the ups and downs!
Well it's been an interesting week! After having a horrible flare up as a direct result of eating some cheese the week before (took a good few days to get back on my feet) i gave up all dairy -eggs, cheese, cream, milk, yoghurt- and continued to take Naproxen. I started to feel really good in myself

I attended my First Lupus AGM Meeting, Warrington, Liverpool!
yesterday with my other half and found the whole day very helpful and enjoyable. I meet many people who came from as far as Cumbria to share the experience and to gather as much useful information as possible. There were stalls available selling brick a brac to raise funds for Lupus Day/ Reasearch

Need help with memory and cognitive ability. What helps you?
I never realized how much APS has affected my thinking. I'm slipping and it's driving me crazy. It has been a while since I have had to use my brain I guess. I don't really understand but I knew that my 'math' skills have been fried but I never realized how much my thought processing has been affected

Anyone take Peppermint Oil? Know any reasons why I shouldn't take it?
I was just Dx with Hughes syndrome this week so I am very new to all of this. Peppermint oil has many benefits but I was just curious if there is any reason I should not use Peppermint oil now that I have APS and will likely start anticoagulants? Many of the benefits have been scientifically proven.

Inflammatory Disease? Cut back on some of certain foods can help.
Others say sugar and potato were a couple of their biggest culprits. Just sayin :) Anti-Inflammatory Diet Tips Courtesy of Dr. Weil on Healthy Aging It is becoming increasingly clear that chronic inflammation is the root cause of many serious illnesses - including heart disease, many cancers

Knowledge is knowing a tomatoe is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad...quote by somebody who knew better. Good Nutrition, More Than Just a Good Idea We don't think of our meals or snacks, as being a bundle of chemicals, but they are. Used to be we ate

Diet and Asthma plus related breathing problems
I try to eat as healthily as possible ( apart from the odd bar of high quality G.and B choccy) and have found this interesting web ref to improving lung health. I have copied and pasted some of this info plus a web ref link and I just wondered what everyone else thinks re eating ‘protective foodsâ€

Dr Marillyn Glenville Seminar
I've not done an online seminar before, but as I can't make the Fertility Show ( http://www.fertilityshow.co.uk ) this year, thought I would give it a go. I think the concept is a good idea - I struggle to make evening events, so a webinar is a good mid-way ground, and perhaps something that others

Does anyone else take Omacor Omega 3 ?
I have mixed Hyperlipidaemia ( Cholesterol and Triglycerides) ~ but cannot take Statins as I also have a high base level CPK which goes up sharply with statin so causing more muscle pains and cramps. To keep the Triglyceride's under control I take large amounts of refined omega3, which as a positive
