How much fat do we actually need?
There are some on this forum who think they need to eat a high-fat diet. There are others, like myself, who eat a predominantly low-fat diet. So let me ask how much fat is in your diet? Can you give an idea is terms of either weight or calories per day? Do you think that is enough? Why is it enough

Zometa - Issues mouth & jaw
I am new here but have a question I had one Xgeva injection then had mouth issues and ended up losing a tooth, then they held off for 2 months and gave a
Zometa
infusion. First one (12/18)I had sore muscles, mouth pain and jaw pain for a week after, better with 800mg motrin every 4 hrs.

PMR 101
Good Morning All I was lucky enough to be able to attend the meeting @ Artizan Library yesterday in London and learned lots from Dr Kate Gilbert. Glad to hear PMR & GCA are becoming of interest to researchers. I think some well known celeb or royal needs to get it for it to become a fashionable disease

Walnuts and cholesterol
A large study in 2018 from Harvard University combined the results of 26 different studies examining the effects of walnut consumption on blood lipid levels and other risk factors for cardiovascular disease. What they found was that those eating one portion of walnuts a day (28g) had lower total cholesterol

Fish and pregnancy and ADHD
In the 1960s the discovery of mercury in fish led to a condemnation of eating fish during pregnancy. Extreme precautions were issued as there was little research on it. 50 years later there is a lot of evidence that the benefits of eating fish far Far FAR outweigh any risk from mercury. The benefits

Is there any new/recent study result data for fish/krill/omega-3 supplements and prostate cancer? This is the best I can find related to Dr. Brasky's study and the counter-argument: https://www.cancerdefeated.com/does-fish-oil-cause-cancer/4002/ George

Caregiver for 50 yr old Mom with Metastatic Melanoma
March 4th 2019 She started her immunotherapy (keytruda &
zometa
) treatments. Last week she ended up in the ER and a short stay in the hospital due to fluid build up in her left lung. They had to drain her lung, and it has already started to fill again.

Docateaxel or Actinium?
So the decision is:- Do I do Docataxel (plus local radiation and maybe
Zometa
) or should I try for Actinium 225 The questions are :- Does Chemo control pain, does it extend life (was told by my MO only 3months life extension), what side effects can be expected and are they worth it?
