Doctor talking zometa every 3 myths. What should I expect. Is it only IV? My veins are shot. Side effects? Has it made a difference in your bones? Etc

My oncologist wants me to start this. I’m already in so much pain in my hips I don’t want any more pain. I can hardly walk five minutes and I’m out of breath and the pain then is so excruciating I have to sit. He lowered my Ibrance medication to 100 mg now he wants to do this? I have blood clots in

Had my first Zometa infusion on Wednesday this week. Felt fine all day and evening, but the following day I felt like I had been hit by a truck - muscle and bone pain all over and extreme fatigue. Today, Friday same SE but not as severe. Are these SE common?

Lots of mets mostly bone. 11-17-21 started treatment. 3 month Lupron injection followed 2 days later with 4 month Zometa and 1st of 6 cycles of docetaxel. At 2nd chemo PSA 301, ALK P 1730. At completion of chemo 4-8-22 PSA 2.45, ALK P 280.

At this point after one month on Nubeqa and one Zometa infusion, I have no nausea or any oral issues. I was wondering if anyone else on Zometa, Nubeqa, Enzalutamide, etc. is taking these types of medicines for oral hygiene or gastrointestinal issues. Are they recommended as prevention? Thanks.

In Sep22, I started on monthly fulvestrant injections followed in October by round #1 of ribociclib and a Zometa infusion to strengthen the bones. The Zometa will be administered every three months. After my first round of ribociclib in Oct22, my neutrophils were dangerously low.

I am currently on Lupron and Zometa and wondering if I am jumping to conclusions that there must have been something on my CT scan that prompted the request. Is another 6 cycles of Docetaxel the best route to go if so.

I dId Provenge at time of progression and am currently on olaparib/Lupron/Zometa. I'm responding well but I'm curious about BAT and in particular Dr. Morgentaler's mBAT (four 2-week cycles of testosterone followed by four weeks of Xtandi). Has anyone here had experience with this protocol?

My dad has been on zometa and Lupron and his PSA has been undetectable. He got a new doctor and they want to take him off the zometa and put him on prolia. Why would they do it? I have read awful things about prolia! update: my dad is stage IV, mets everywhere.

I'm now mCRPC and still taking Abiraterone, ADT and Zometa. Signed up for new trial sponsored by Bayer Co. Some participants will get course of Radium223 others will get course of Enzalutamide.

Inital PSA 1065, Lupron, Zytiga, Pred, Zometa. PMSA January 2023 10 avid sights in ribs and spine, small focal area in prostate. PSA bottom .06 last year began progressing last Nov and last week was .39. MO referred me to Immune therapy Provenge then chemo. Chemo to be determined.

I am now recently getting zometa infusions every three months instead of once a month. I have alopecia, where I would get bald spots every once in awhile. Just recently, I have many bald spots, large ones, that are prevalent to about 35% of my scale. I am seeing a dermatologist in December.

I’m due for my second ZOMETA treatment on Friday. They told me to expect flu like symptoms for a few days last time. However I was so sick I was unable to get out of bed for 2 days and wasn’t myself for almost 2 weeks. Chills, nausea, dizziness, etc.

Also Zometa, ok every 3 months, USUALLY I GET THE SALINE BEFORE AND AFTER. What about you guys? The treatment should last about 45 minutes. Not 15, as a straight in Zometa and wang bang you are done. No, no. You need to be well hydrated.

I have had my fill of zoledronic acid and zometa. Currently on a break from them. My Onco. went 2 years on, then 3 years off, then 2 years on…to preserve my jaw. I am current of for another year and a half before she will consider another round of treatment in this area.

The previous day, at 09:00, I had a 4mg infusion of Zometa. Now, my Oncologist doesn't think the AF is down to the Zometa................ but I can't help wondering. I would appreciate any opinions or advice as to where I might go from here. Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

So far I have refused Zometa because my sister had developed a hole in her jaw from this treatment (she has since passed away from MBC). Im terrified of this but also don’t want to get osteoporosis obviously. Has Zometa helped your bone density enough to actually make a difference?

New focal uptake in left mandible could be related to recent dental procedure versus periodontal disease, however as patient is reportedly on Zometa, biphosphonate induced osteonecrosis of the jaw is also in differential.

Currently on Ibrance 75 (due to low ANC)and letrozole and monthly Zometa infusions. Thanks in advance ❤️

My first 3 monthly infusion of Zometa passed without incident and, rather foolishly perhaps, I expected the same response from the 2nd infusion. How wrong I was. For the first couple of days, I just felt a little more tired than usual, and then it all changed.
