Zometa

All treatment to be the same as before, except th MO wants to change from Prolia to Zometa. Anyone use both of those, Prolia and Zometa? Experiences?

I think I need to jump to Zometa or denosumab soon. (Currently also using lupron and nubeqa for HSPC or CRPC)

Zometa was recommended by my MO as a way to preclude any "bounceback" following the end to 4 years of Xgeva.

Onco has suggested Zometa as husband has been on ADT for several years. I am reluctant to throw another med at him if it's not definitely necessary. So would you recommend Dexa scan to check for problems before simply accepting Zometa?

I’m currently on a Xtandi, Zometa and Lupron and have occasional foot numbness. Has anyone else experienced this?

I still take 3 month Lupron and 6 month Zometa. I started Docetaxel about 6 weeks ago and have now developed a bad case of the “I’m having a hard time giving a sh-t anymore”. I am 100% safe, and have an appointment with a counselor, but this is so not typical of me. Thanks in advance. Jim

Currently on Brukinsa and will be soon be starting Zometa (bone resorption infusion). Apparently, it is quite rare to have CLL that also presents with bone damage. In my case, I had a walnut sized tumor in my T12 vertebrae that had to be radiated.

One week ago received HRT and Zometa at same clinic appointment Feeling deliriously exhausted he took a 24 hour mini time off a day ago. Amazingly…Feeling much better. Not sure if one day off occasionally will be long term health consequences.

Hi everyone, Is anyone here on Abiraterone and Prednisone with Zometa infusions but without Lupron? My dad's oncologist recently mentioned that he "doesn't need Lupron," which I don’t fully understand.

Was given Degarelix and Zometa. The Apalutamide pills were due today by FedEx but was contacted by my oncologist to wait before taking as she wants to discuss a clinical trial with me. In opinions out there, are clinical trials a Good or Bad thing?

My Oncologist wants me to take Prolia, but the Insurance will not pay for it and wants me to take Zometa. However, I did research on Zometa and its reputation is questionable. What are the alternatives? Xgeva seems better. Any thoughts about this.

My MO mentioned a possible switch to Zometa. That med appears to have worse S/E. Thanks!

I’m currently on an Xtandi, Zometa and Lupron treatment plan. Could there be a correlation between one of these drugs and chronic sinus stuffiness? I also take a cholesterol drug and 3 different blood pressure meds. Thanks in advance if anyone has information. My Best Jim

I have started quarterly infusions per MO instructions. Should I discontinue 1200 mg calcium/25 mcg Vit D ?

Degarelix injections with Zometa Infusions. Afterward, want to do Apalutamide Oral and probable Proton Therapy down the road. Due to the heart attack while in the hospital and the added medications for the heart and diabetes; the PSA number was at 348.00 on June 16.

Anyone else get zometa injection s to strengthen bones ?

Her death of course has made me go to the darkest of places.I have been stable on Herceptin/ Prejeta and Zometa with liver mets now undetectable and no progression to bone mets for four years.

I was put on femara and Zometa. Then 2018 switched to ibrance , fasladex and Zometa. Oncologist retired so I went too Sloan. I ended up with necrosis of jaw. Got really bad. Hospital 11 days. Home with pic line.

MO scheduled me for Zometa on 4/11. Do I need another dental clearance first?

Just don't understand the Dexa denial and the push of the Zometa if it's not going prevent SRE's. Any thoughts on this? Thx
