Maximum Hormone Blockade
She told me that for me, the treatment is Zolodex, until it stops working, followed shortly by Docetaxel,
Xtandi
/Abiraterone. When I questioned her about whether this was the best course of action, she got quite short with me, "get back in your box - I'm the expert" attitude.

Xtandi - Ketruda - Chemo - mCRPC
In the paper below the Docs speculate on why some patients with progression on
Xtandi
who received Ketruda had dramatic results which was not seen previously.

Xtandi Side Effects
Been on
Xtandi
for about 2 months. PSA went from 5 to 0.5, so that's good. So far, the only side effect I've had are stiffness in my legs. Oddly, I also seem to be dreaming more. I am interested in what effects other folks had, especially those who have been on it for a while.

Xtandi + Zytiga Fails To Deliver
Looks Like Myers was wrong about 2 better than 1 but I wonder if the combination would give a longer time to progression to mCRPC Gus http://www.urotoday.com/recent-abstracts/urologic-oncology/prostate-cancer/93020-enzalutamide-in-combination-fails-to-improve-progression-free-survival-to-better-progression-free-survival-in-chemotherapy-naive-mcrpc-patients.html

The difference between steroids like Dexamethasone and Medrol Dose Pack, plus radiation of lymph nodes behind the trachea.
He didn't do well on
Xtandi
. It was a tough drug for him. He will try Zytiga once he stabilizes a bit. We have to get some of his symptoms straightened out. He's having a lot of confusion. He was at first given Adivan which caused confusion.

After reading the article below I am not taking testosterone boosting supplements or even testosterone itself....not enough is know about the long term prognosis...for now it looks like the best bet is to make friends with
Xtandi
. http://www.ergo-log.com/teston6.html

My experience in getting an Xtandi perscription
My oncologist recommended I go on
Xtandi
. It took a bit of work getting it at a cost I could afford. My Medicare PartD provider approved
Xtandi
. I received a call from the specialty pharmacy with the cost. Due to the "donut hole", the first month was $2700; the next eleven "only" $500.

Dimentia and Xtandi
Somewhere a while back , I thought I read something about the possibility of
Xtandi
and Lupron ( which I am also taking every 3 months) causing dimentia.

Dealing with crMPc
Appointment with Oncologist tomorrow and probably will do Provenge treatment along with either Zytiga or
Xtandi
. Looking at
Xtandi
because of no steroid needed and can be taken with or without food.

Live It Up and Die Happy
Lupron/chemo brought PSA down to 300 but starting rising after 7 months...
xtandi
+ subsequent chemo all failed and PSA went back up to 13000.

Is Xtandi failing?
But my doctor said that if the
Xtandi
fails, the Zytiga will not work. Would love some opinions.

High Dose Testosterone as a treatment for the AR-V7 Blocking of Xtandi and Zytiga
Good news for guys whose genes like to party...looks like if you have Wild-Type AR Genes you have a much better response to
Xtandi
and Zytiga.

Abiraterone or Enzalutamide in Advanced CRPC.
"We found weak evidence that enzalutamide {
Xtandi
} outperforms AA {abiraterone acetate - Zytiga} with prednisone in terms of OS {overall survival} in the pre-docetaxel and post-docetaxel settings.

Any side effects from stopping Xtandi
My cousin's husband stopped
Xtandi
after having so many side effects. He was on 4 pills day. His doctor said to stop. Now, a week later, he is throwing up and definitely showing weakness in his legs. Has anyone experienced worsening side effects while the drug is wearing off.

USA Pharmacy Removing Cancer Treatment Drugs in 2017
CVS Pharmacy will hurt many cancer patients by removing dozens of cancer treatment drugs, like leukemia drug Tasigna, prostate cancer drug
Xtandi
and chemotherapy treatment drug Neupogen, from their formulary, starting in 2017. CVS claims these drugs cost too much.
