Stage 4 ~ Now Losing Blood Somewhere
He is going to try
Xtandi
again. That is the jest of his history, but now we learned Monday that he is now losing blood somewhere and they do not know where. He does not want any additional testing to try and locate its origin. His labs are low enough that he is close to requiring a transfusion.

Side effect of a Rash with Xtandi and Apalutamide?
Has anyone gotten a rash from either of these drugs? Has anyone taken an Antihistamine for the rash so they could continue with their medication? Has anyone been successful in lowering their dose? Thank you

Is Xtandi necessary or even helping me?
My MO started me on
Xtandi
towards the end of October and my T and PSA appear to have pretty much flatlined since then. I've read that "castrate" level T is defined as <20 so if mine is <1, how much additional help is
Xtandi
likely to be giving?

I started taking
xtandi
June 13th this year. My PSA was 1.09 it’s 0.25 now. This slow drop have any meaning on how long
xtandi
will work or is this just an average decline. I also got a great Christmas present, qualified for
xtandi
at no cost next year. Happy New Year to all.

PSA staying down--would any kind of scan be helpful?
I started on
Xtandi
in June 2022. My PSA was at about .08 before
Xtandi
and after chemo. My question; is there any value in getting a scan to see what is happening with my bone mets, or do I let well enough alone? I am very grateful that my PSA is staying down so far and that I feel good.

Update to surgery or no surgery
He will be on Lupron every three months and starting
Xtandi
this week. His pain is almost gone just a slight pain in the neck. I hope we will have some scans to see how the tumor is doing. He will have a PSA next Monday.

So Confused
I start Pluhvicto on the 13th and
Xtandi
the following day. I'm concerned I will feel even worse. Anyone else ever go through this or have any ideas?

Post chemo resensitivity to hormonal treatment
I have read here that Zytiga or
Xtandi
may be tried after chemo despite resistance having developed pre-chemo to one of them. Does anyone have a reference to anything in the literature about this? Thank you

Slow rising PSA. Wait and watch?
Should we wait and watch to see if PSA stablises or goes down again, giving Zytiga more time, or should I consult a different doctor and explore changing prednisolone to dexamethasone or alternatively
Xtandi
.

AR-V7 blood test and PET ordered yesterday.
Patient received and failed either
Xtandi
, Erleada or Zytiga and progression of mCRPC was defined by the Prostate Cancer Working Group 2 Guidelines : (YES)." Blood test ordered for 3 weeks which could show all is back to normal but probably pie in the sky.

12 years on this journey; just recently found this community
No pain/symptoms as yet, just SEs from Lupron and
Xtandi
. Mostly slight fatigue, some loss of appetite, and occasional hot flashes. Retired a little over a year ago. Since then have been traveling, biking, joined a softball league, and play a lot of pickleball.

Update on restaging cancer
She also said that if the
Xtandi
fails she might rec'd Casodex. The name was familiar but I didn't connect to bicalutamide until we got home.

Failed Docetaxel, just like everything else.
Now MO wants to put me on
Xtandi
and will eventually ( 3-4 months ) start me on Plutvicto once approved. Since becoming mCRPC, I have failed Xofigo, Zytiga, and now Docetaxel, all in the past9 months.

Zytiga after Xtandi?
I know men often try
Xtandi
after Zytiga, but is it ever reversed? My dad seems to be failing
Xtandi
and I'm wondering if Zytiga would be a viable option? His doctor has mentioned Pluvicto, but their website says it only provides a 4 month survival benefit?
