THIS IS WAR!!!
But now I have up'd my dose of
Xtandi
(important drug in the fight to keep cancer at bay) from 80mg to 120mg/day again - which is what I should have been on - and the side effects are sooo soooo clear. Fatigue, FATIGUE and more Fatigue.

Increased Incontinence 2.5 years into stage 4
Currently on
Xtandi
and Lupron. I have a couple questions for this amazing group. On my last 6 month Lupron injection the nurse injected the medicine very fast and spent a considerable time mopping up what was leaking out.

about this info earlier, we would have gone with Zytiga first instead of
Xtandi
.

Started Triplet Therapy this week, new doc, new (better) treatment plan!
"Fired" my local general oncologist whose plan was
Xtandi
, radiation, and Xgeva for me. She was against chemo in my case since the mets weren’t in organs. Contrast that opinion with the note from my new doc (the top prostate cancer specialist at CoH) that I've highlighted below.

Lu-177 PNT2002 SPLASH trial
If I change to Enzalutamide (
Xtandi
) during the screening process I need to pay the massive
Xtandi
bill as my Part D doesn't help that much, especially during the first few months. Any suggestion to get
Xtandi
at a lower cost, meaning not through Part D?

Pluvicto
His doctor added
Xtandi
. The first month it dropped his PSA 150 points then it slowly increased. He has been on it 4 months or so. Doctor wants him to get PLUVICTO™ (lutetium Lu 177 vipivotide tetraxetan) treatment. Has anyone had this treatment or have info about it.

OUR NEXT STEP
Dr has also ordered
Xtandi
and the Lupron shot after radiation if it doesn't completely work. They have decided to do five lower-dose treatments rather than just one or two strong treatments. He said he could go from several different angles doing it this way. What is everyone's opinion on this?

First month on Xtandi - the good and the not so good
Has anyone else found bone mets get more painful at first on
Xtandi
? I'm assuming they should get less so over time?

Finally makes sense
I started Firmagon about a year ago with great results for 5 months and then added
Xtandi
....Side effects from both were minimal due to weight training in gym 3x a week and aerobic running off days.

Why is Jevtana used as one of the last options for the cancer?
As it will likely be asked, he has done
Xtandi
, Xofigio, Lymparza, and Provenge. As well as two does of Taxotern. We live in rural Kentucky. Thank you

Help: Metastasized Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer!
Later I was switched to Zytiga (abiraterone acetate) with an injection of lupron every three months. Then I was put on
Xtandi
with lupron once per month. The
Xtandi
didn’t lower my PSA, but seemed to have more side effects than the others.

Tips for cheaper Abiratone costs
My father was just switched from
xtandi
to 1000 mg of abiratone to be used with prednisone. His abiratone is costing out to 600$ a month so he isn’t picking up his prescription. Wondering if anyone has found some ways to get around this high cost?

Xtandi
My husband started
Xtandi
about 2 months ago after Lupron starting not working. PSA went down 150 points first month, then went up 19 points last time went down 12 points. Does this mean
Xtandi
is not working for him? We were expecting it to go down a lot. Anyone else have this experience?

Now I'm really confused
Went on Orgovyx and
Xtandi
and PSA rapidly went to 4, then 30 days later 2.33 and a month later (now) PSA at 2.03.... Im concerned that the Firmagon failed after just 4 months and now I'm seeing
xtandi
seemingly stalling and I'm taking steps to plan out my next move.

QoL - a great gig last night!
So far, I am tolerating Prostap (ADT) plus
Xtandi
reasonably well - hoping that will last a long time!

Time course of radiation effects
This was radiated and I received about 22 months of Lupron, with
Xtandi
added for about 14 months. This ended about 3/21.

New PSA reading update
(see the curve on my profile) Take aways are: no noticable different on the decline curve between using
Xtandi
at 120mg or 80mg.
