Prednisone tapping
Dr suggested to start taking
Xtandi
,but to this day I have not taken it because my PCP found out a dangerous interaction with retroviral meds I take for HIV. Now after reading what SE
XTandi
could do to you, I am so glad I haven't started taking it yet!

Good news
But for the second time a 3 month period on only 80mg
Xtandi
has failed to have any adverse affect on my progression - I now consider that 80mg is keeping the beast at bay just as well as 120mg was - but the fatigue is much lighter. Makes me happy --- hope it continues for many years.

Xtandi monotherapy is very effective
(Zoom your browser to read the image) At the AUA2023 the results of the EMBARK trial were presented. This phase 3 randomized trial had three arms and compared in patients with high-risk biochemically recurrent prostate cancer: - enzalutamide plus leuprolide - enzalutamide monotherapy - placebo plus

2 Questions
I started
Xtandi
on April 15th. My PSA on May 14th was still .7. My MO said this was likely my nadir. I’m not sure if radiation will be approved with a .7 PSA. I’ve received the results of my 2nd PSMA PET scan yesterday.

Are there options past Pluvicto?
He was diagnosed last year, and over the last 15 months he has endured ADT, Zytiga, Docetaxel (6 cycles), Cabazitaxel (four cycles before it failed), and now
Xtandi
and Pluvicto (and a bone strenghtener). I have added a more detailed medical history in my bio.

EMBARK trial results reported
Pfizer reported results of the EMBARK trial testing
Xtandi
+Lupron or
Xtandi
alone against Lupron+Placebo.
Seems that hormone-sensitive patients may be able to choose
alone and avoid Lupron. This applies to patients who had no metastases on CT/bone scan.

Anyone tried cabazitaxel (Jevtana) monotherapy?
I'm also thinking about taking enzalutamide (
Xtandi
) after the cabazitaxel if I still have detectable PSA. Thanks in advance.

idea?
The loss of testosterone has definitely weakened him and the lupron brain fog is very real, (which really sucks because of his adhd)...shortly after starting the
xtandi
he developed a tremor in his right hand.
Xtandi
was discontinued due to severe side effects and he was started on Nubeqa.

Xtandi failure?
My Onco said that I needed to stop
Xtandi
whatever the PSA resuls, but I'm obviously scared about what happens when I have nothing but the injection. If PSA doubles while on
Xtandi
every 2 months, what will it do when I am not taking anything?

PC invasive to bladder
My dad started taking
Xtandi
for about a month and his doctor did not suggest any treatment to reduce the bleeding. Have any of you know or experience this situation? Much appreciate if you can share your view and/or experience. Thank you in advance.

Pluvicto Update
I'm also taking

Xtandi

Taste Issues and finger neuropathy on Xtandi( enzalutamide) ?
In order to participate in a clinical trial (FOR46 at UCSF) I had to switch from Nubeqa (darolutamide) to enzalutamide. Previously on abiraterone. Did really well on both medications. Now 4 months on enzalutamide and my 5th research infusion, I'm experiencing some side effects. Trying to determine

Not Tolerating Xtandi
I sent a note to my MO asking if it could be the
Xtandi
but did not hear back. So I took it upon myself and one evening did not take any dose, took one Aleve and went to bed.

Used Lynparza and
Xtandi
over 2 years with side effects stopped in 2020 Started lu177 in 8/2021 with PSA 60+_. After 3 treatments PSA went to 5200 !!! With no real options Dr Sartor suggested I might try adding Lynparza and
Xtandi
with pluvicto lu177.

UPDATE
I have been on
xtandi
since last June, PSA yesterday was 0.08. Three months ago it was 0.16. The PA told me most men on xtandi’s run last between 2 and 3 years. I hope she is wrong in my case. Any one have any thoughts about this. ET

Xtandi (enzalutamide) alone is superior to ADT alone at preventing metastases in "high-risk" recurrent men
Xtandi
monotherapy performed significantly better than ADT alone. No comparison yet on
Xtandi
monotherapy vs
Xtandi
+ADT. Also improved time to PSA progression/castration-resistance and time to chemo. No data yet on overall survival.
