Anyone tried cabazitaxel (Jevtana) monotherapy?

If you've tried cabazitaxel without ADT, I would appreciate hearing about your side effects and effectiveness.

I'm currently in excellent shape at age 72. Previously I tolerated docetaxel (which along with radiation of abdominal lymph nodes helped me return to undetectable PSA for 4+ years) very well but really disliked the side effects from Lupron (which I'm trying to avoid as long as possible).

I know it's unusual to do cabazitaxel without any other therapy, but hoping to find a few guys who tried it. I'm also thinking about taking enzalutamide (Xtandi) after the cabazitaxel if I still have detectable PSA.

Sometimes it's patients who need to push the envelop on new approaches. In my opinion, most doctors don't have enough respect for the negative QOL effects of the old standard ADT they like to throw at all advanced cases until it no longer works. 🙂

You have a point but what if it doesn't work and your cancer grows anyways Google it get personal opinions and some science

I was reading one case and

cabazitaxel was initiated and continued every 3 weeks for 4 years.
