Question treatment
I have mpc stage 4 and am on Lupron and
Xtandi
. My OC wants to start me on prolia. Should I have a bone density test first? If bone density is good, should I start prolia anyway.

Advice for next steps for 82 year old dad
In 2020 the medicine began to fail and he had provenge and started on
Xtandi
. Now his
Xtandi

PSA down but mets increasing?
I've been on ADT +
Xtandi
for about a year (see my Bio for details) and my PSA has been slowly and steadily reducing over that time - now down to 0.05.

What Next After Xtandi Fail?
On Lupron from the beginning and
Xtandi
since Nov 2019. Hit Nadir of .21 in Dec 2022. Since then, PSA has been jumping around, but trending upward. End of 2023, it was at .67. Feb 2024, PSA up to .87. Yesterday, it was 1.16. Have Oncology appointment tomorrow. Time to talk what comes next.

We could tell in advance if enzalutamide works on a patient: computational biology
hopefully it will be clinically tested soon ”For the study in Nature Communications, Mitrofanova's team developed computational algorithms to discover why the prostate cancer drug enzalutamide (sold under the brand name
Xtandi
) never works for some patients and why it eventually stops working in others

After Zofigo, what next?
My husband just finished 6 sessions of Zofigo (Ra223), which his doctor (MO) recommended after he failed Lupron in 12/21, and then
Xtandi
in 11/22. He weathered it great, with only mild digestive issues and he continues to be asymptomatic.

Joint pain.
My husband has had prostate removed 2017, on
Xtandi
for 15 months, then Chemo, now on his 2nd cycle out of 6 of Radium 223. He has about once a week, severe joint pain in his knee. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tall Allen, look forward to hearing from you. Concerned wife.

Erratic PSA and broken bone
I'm resuming chemo this Friday due to PSA spike and staying on
Xtandi
. Any thoughts as to why my PSA was so erratic lately with the sudden drop to 0.023 and then spike to 6.9? Could it be stress related to the broken bone? Thanks.

Pluvicto works but at what cost
Previously on Firmagon,
Xtandi
worked for awhile, nothing with Xofigo and a few rounds of Jevtana didn’t help and caused problems, also had localized XRT - but had to have chemo to qualify for Pluvicto which is a great advanced treatment for many of us After multiple delays getting Pluvicto with PSA

When it started to fail a year ago they added
Xtandi

Our Pluvicto story
My husband didn't have success with
Xtandi
or Zytiga. MO feels that cabitaxel is our next best step. Genetic testing has been done with no actionable findings. I know that many are not able to complete all 6 Pluvicto treatments and many aren't able to have any success at all.

What after docetaxel?
My NHS oncologist told me today that the
Xtandi
I am currently being prescribed might last for the remainder of this year and possibly next.

Update on failing Enzalutamide
Brief recent history: a couple of years ago PSA started to rise on the treatment that had worked well (bicalutamide and 3 monthly Prostap injections) So I switched to
Xtandi
just over a year ago. The side effects were horrendous, so I reduced dosage to one-quarter of usual dose.

Drugs and supplement list
From what I read of Jazj's article I think one should go to the link I am posting and maybe we should all keep a link to this site on our desktop. More information for us all. "Just a thought" said Bluebottle.https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/enzalutamide,xtandi.html
