Hay fever medicines
I continue to have badly blocked ears and a runny nose for several weeks. I’ve only managed to see paramedics rather than a GP about it. I haven’t used any nasal sprays (other than saline) but would like to try anti-allergy medication such as antihistamine. Yet I’ve read that “A few common stimulating

Doxycycline - A Warning For Diabetics
Anyway recently I was prescribed the antibiotic Doxycycline for the macerated
wounds
(caused by Co-Vee-ID Toe) on my remaining foot. It turns out that this makes the body's response to insulin erratic. One day I can be struggling with hypos and the next hypers.

Calcium Citrate questions
I’ve been taking Calcium Carbonate on and off for over 5 years but my stomach really doesn’t like it. It makes me gassy and and causes me to have stomach ache. I have read that Calcium Citrate is more gentle on the stomach so I am trying to find what the equivalent calcium citrate is to calcium carbonate

Cracked skin
I was diagnosed with Raynards early last year, but around the last 7-8 months my skin on my fingers have been cracking really bad ,causing open
wounds
. My question is does anyone think this could be to do with raynards or underlying condition? I also have Artheritis.

Bevacizumab v Niraparib
I've had chemo/debulking surgery/ chemo, and have just come to the end of the post surgery chemo. I've been told all along that I will continue with Bevacizumab as a maintenance treatment (I've had 3 rounds of it alongside chemo, 2 before the surgery and 1 after). I caught COVID towards the end of

Wounds
like a burn and a scratch are taking ages to heal. I am older, 66, and I know this can happen. Any suggestions for tests I could ask for and is there any point asking for them. Best wishes Fiona

Skin Tares and Showers
Like a lot of us I get skin tares and sometimes wind up with a nurse practitioner dressing the wound. Recently I had one on my leg and the dressing had to be kept dry. ‘Oh no! No showers.’ I moaned, (I’d like to say it it wasn’t a moan but it was 🙄). ‘ Haven’t you heard of Limbo?’ She replied. Well

Need Support Today
Today is not a good day for me. I didn't sleep well last night. Woke with stomach ache. I have IBS and can't take any ppi s except for pepcid. I also am on Elliqus, Elvail and slow-mag. I have several allergies too. I am trying to stay positive but I could really use some encouragement right now. I

My Estimated GFR - eGFR
Some of you may recall when I was on diuretics (Furosemide) last year in an attempt to reduce the lymphatic fluid discharge from the macerated
wounds
on my foot (a result of "that we must not mention" Toe) my eGFR plummeted from 69% to 35% (distinctly worrying).

Warfarin side effects
I would much appreciate advice from other Warfarin users as to whether this is a common problem, and how I can get these little scrapes and

Wound healing and Steroid Use
I have been on Prednisone for just over a year. I am down to 10mg and cannot titer down without flare. I am waiting for approval for Kevzara. I have noticed that when I get a small cut or skin abrasion (which is more frequent since my skin is thinner with steroid use) It gets very red and takes a long

synarel
Has anyone been prescribed Synarel (the sniff drug that stops your ovaries producing estrogen). I’m starting it in a few days, along with Evorel conti. The theory is, if the pain stops I can go straight for a full hysterectomy to avoid many potential laparoscopies in the years to come. Bit scary making
