Hello everybody. I am absolutely terrified as I have decompensated cirrhosis newly diagnosed. Lockdown has meant delays in seeing a specialist and I have oedema and ascites. Read online that life expectancy is 1 to 3 years and am just so scared. My fibroscan was 21.3kpa.

Routine bloodwork and Phlebotomy
My doctor has created a standing order for me to continue to get bloodwork every 4 weeks as my Pegasys dose increases. And he says if the hematocrit is still elevated I’ll have to continue with monthly phlebotomies as well. He says the risk of thrombosis outweighs the risk of covid-19. Are other folks

Migraines, PREDNISOLONE, side effects help
Hiya, I thought to check - we started out busereline injections about 14 days ago and had to stop on Friday due to the corona. Our cycle was postponed. I spent all Friday crying and I triggered a migraine. I get them a lot due to my endo but I hadn’t had one for a few months now. The issue is it won’

Feeling Abandoned and pointless
Today I feel like ending my life. The trauma the pain I have endured is bad enough without being made to feel unimportant or that what happened to me is insignificant. I was told that I was to have reconstructive surgery in six months, this has been the only thing getting me through this nightmare. A

Mothers Day...
The day I always hope would fill my heart with joy, also a day I thought would perhaps be a good omen for a positive outcome...I was meant to start down regulation tomorrow. My clinic said I could go ahead but it would be a freeze all cycle and meds would be reduced to prevent ohss. 2 things that would

Anxiety during coronavirus panic buying
A lot of people in my area are partaking in panic buying and clearing the shelves of things like wipes and toilet roll which as an IBS sufferer it’s something I need a lot of. I know I have quite a few at the moment but the fact that I may get to a point where I cannot get any toilet roll is really panicking

INTENSIVE CARE - Covid-19
Hi all, My Dad is very sadly in intensive care on a ventilator with Covid-19. Very difficult as obviously can’t visit and reading the news and stats his prognosis is not good. I thought I’d read on here about other conditions with similar presentation in terms of what’s going on in ICU. He currently

Pushed my self too far - like an idiot
Hi all, hope your having a good week! Unfortunately I can not say the same...over the weekend I was doing some door to door charity work with my local young farmers club-selling donated veg eggs and pig muck for your garden. Obviously the heavy lifting and large amount of walking didn’t help me but

Hiya I'm prescribed an opioid for pain which makes me extremely blocked up, I'm also on other meds like diazepam & meds for copd etc. My question is can I take Senna with laxido, as I've gone from been extremely sensitive to laxido to it barely working at all. yes it's keeping stuff soft but I still

CBD Oil for Parkinsons
"In spite of the diverse legal status in different states, CBD can be purchased online and delivered legally to all 50 states." This article provides information about the potential benefits of CBD oil and also discusses legality in the USA. It is legal to supply in the UK and France. https://www.dementiacarecentral.com

Is it possible to see a Silver Lining and Stay Positive during this Coronavirus Crisis , a thought from Auntie Bee.
I decided to put up my reply to Rimmys thought provoking post today as a separate post just in case it may be of help to anyone feeling anxious during this current Health Crisis. I realise that we are all feeling incredibly vulnerable and nervous right now . It's important to get the right information

Hib vaccine as an adult?
At my recent resp appointment my overall immune system was checked as I seem to pick up everything and everything - including those things that are rare to get as adults, obviously some of these illnesses affect my asthma quite bad, other things are just regular utis, hand, foot and mouth.. any "illness

Pneumococcal vaccine in short supply.
Today, Sharon has officially been diagnosed with moderate COPD, about which I have had strong suspicions about, for over a month. The GP has said she needs to have the Pneumococcal vaccine, of course, especially with working in a nursing home. Sharon then asks the receptionist to make an appointment

Recently had a cardiac ablation
Ive been having terrible mood swings - I feel angry all the time and over the littlest things, I'm freezing all the time and I'm so tired. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience and what you did to ease them? I know that these are probably just side effects and will eventually

Movicol - sticky motions!
I have an ongoing problem with constipation which doesn`t respond to dietary changes. Fybogel doesn`t help either so I switched to Movicol. It is more effective but causes 5 or 6 mainly small bm`s each day which are "sticky" and it takes ages to clean myself after each one. This makes me very sore
