Ive been having terrible mood swings - I feel angry all the time and over the littlest things, I'm freezing all the time and I'm so tired. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience and what you did to ease them?
I know that these are probably just side effects and will eventually go away I just need some coping mechanisms.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Frankie, if you look around the page you will find 'Pinned Posts' and a link to 'Recovering from an ablation' which may be helpful. I don't know how long ago you had the ablation and I don't recognise the symptoms you describe except for tiredness but I suspect you may have tried to get back to normal too soon. When I had my ablation I was given a leaflet which said I could 'resume normal activities in a few days'. In practice that meant you could but you'd feel awful unless your normal activities were mostly sitting in front of a TV with someone else to bring you your meals. We all differ in our reactions and recovery and if you were very hyped up beforehand you may be experiencing a comedown. Of course if you feel ill you should get medical advice. Best wishes 💜
PS Are you taking Amiodarone? It can affect thyroid function.
I checked it out, thank you I had it two weeks ago, I went back to work monday and I guess you're right about doing too much too early. I didnt realise how hands on and physical my job is. I think I will see my GP for the just incase. Thank you <3
I think the mood swings sound a bit unusual, perhaps you have been a bit stressed about having the procedure. Remember that if your groin is still a bit bruised, just think what the inside of your heart must be like! Try and take it easy if possible......
Aaah that’s such a good reassuring answer,I had my ablation 11 days ago and feeling very bruised and bashed about with a sore chest(but then I did have a lousy cough and cold before the procedure!)
AF Association have a good leaflet about recovering from ablation and there is a section on depression, anxiety, and worry. I wasn’t at my best (to say the least) after my ablation. It did pass but maybe talk to your doctor if you think you need help
