We have just been declined for CHC funding for my dad who has advanced stage CBD. Apparently he does not meet the health criteria!! He is on lots of medication which my mum administers. He is at home with carers coming in 4 times a day to do all the personal care and has a visit from the District Nurses

treatment and relationship - couples therapy?
Hi everyone, my partner and I have been together for 6 years and we plan to have a cheeky small wedding in February ☺️ Generally our relationship is great and he’s so kind but after a difficult pregnancy in 2021 where I really suffered with my mental health, then miscarriage and a mental health breakdown

Could a previous diagnosis of brachial neuritis be a warning sign of PMR?
Before was finally diagnosed with GCA/LVV + PMR in March this year, I had been to my GP a few years ago with extreme pain going from my neck to my arm (one side only, severe, and enough to reduce me to tears because there seemed to be no way, no position, no medication that alleviated the torture). Dx

Hubby has been having a bad patch lately with symptoms deteriorating so we decided to try increasing his madopar from 3 1/2 x 50/12.5 tablets to 5 but he couldn’t tolerate the extra (usual extra rigidity and suicidal thinking) so reduced back to 4 1/2. PD nurse still thinks it isn’t enough. Maybe with

So now I'm hobbling!
Some of you may remember my post a few weeks ago telling you of my broken wrist sustained during a totally mad moment when I thought it was a good idea to try and stand on the kids hoverboard! Well, since then, I've managed pretty well to be independent and have found all sorts of ways of managing things

Advice
Long time since I have asked a question. I love my aroma therapy essential oil diffuser but I am finding that I am coughing alot when it has been on for a long period. Can anyone give me some advice on this. Should I or should not be using this when I have asthma ( still relatively new to asthma ) Thanks

Speech and Language team in the UK
Just an update on my wife (Jackie, diagnosed since 29th Jan 23) and her PSP path, she had a visit from the Speech and Language therapy team yesterday and it's not good. She's struggling with food, she'd said that food wasn't going down. So they tried her with a sandwich and she couldn't clear it after

I had severe breathing problems, couldn't sleep, felt like I was only breathing a portion of the oxygen I intake. Was sent for several tests: X-ray= Lung hyperinflation, ECG=Normal, Spirometry=(Normal pre bronchodilator(93%), abnormal post bronchodilator), Blood pressure= 140, not less than 130 (fluctuates

One year on
Thought I’d give a little update on my ARLD journey. After 1 year of initial Fibroscan results which were CAP score 316 and 28.9 kpa elastography score, which shattered my world as it wasn’t expected. My latest results after abstaining from alcohol, which I may say has been oh-so difficult after

Hi guys, I wonder if is there any connection between onset of RLS and menopause, my first symptoms seemed to coincide. . . . through it now but symptoms continue! Also does anyone have any experience with St John’s Wort and RLS? I’m having major mud winter blues and am considering it. Any information
