Has anyone tried them?
Are they any good?
What are Choline, PABA & Inositol, and are they likely to be helpful?

Choline:

PABA:

Inositol:
Kriticat,
Choline is a part of supporting the methylation cycle (like B-Vits) helping to break down homocysteine, etc and PEMT that helps your body produce essential phosphatidylcholine. This helps cell health and mitochondria to absorb nutrients for ATP energy, encourages better bile flow, muscle movement and brain development. Sometimes choline & inositol are sold as a combo.
There is a discussion on inositol here ..... healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
I don't remeber ever using PABA but I think your combo looks great as contains the methyl forms of folate & VitB12.
Kriticat
This morning I’ve done quick investigation into PABA, and its one of three precursors to folate.
If you have an actual VitB12 and/or folate deficiency you will need to supplement considerably higher amounts than this supplement can offer. However, VitB-Complexes are useful for going maintenance once deficiencies have been addressed and these methyl multi nutrients containing others implicated in the methylation cycles are becoming more common.
This is because it is noted that only supplying certain methyl-forms risks over or under methylation creating and widening the gaps in other possible deficiencies within the methylation cycles. Also taking small amounts of the pre-cursing nutrients allows metabolising stages to take place bringing about other essential biological changes. It kind of gives you a bit of everything so covering all eventualities.
If you are supplementing to address an actual deficiency in say VitB12, then focus should remain on that nutrient and supplemented amount be high enough to fulfil the shortfall.
The Swiss Biogenetic website stated the following amounts; swissbioenergetics.com/prod...
*Vitamin B1 20mg, Vitamin B2 20m, Vitamin B3, Vitamin 40mg, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B7 200µg, Folate (L5-methyltetrahydrofolate) 200µg, Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) 150µg, Inositol 20mg, Choline20mg, PABA20mg
If you compare that to whats in Thorne Basic B then you will see it is lower contenet which would explain the lower price.
Thanks so much radd , my brain isn't currently up to research, and that's much more succinct than anything I found. My B12 and folate are both fine, so just want a maintenance dose for now. The levels of each one are considerably less than both Thorne basic, which I'm currently using, and Igennus, which I've got on order. But that's probably OK, as I don't have a deficiency.... I will get some to try next.
I am buying Vitamin B Complex High Strength Capsules by AAVALABS from Amazon . Currently unavailable. It is very good.
