indecisiveness
hi, it's good to be babk on here, on 2 counts. I have been so low & tearful for ages so I couldn't cope with this beast (computer) but also I've been trying to persuade this machine that it wanted to connect to, well anything really. Apparently my signal strength is excellent but it wouldn't connect

Side effects of drugs
Has anyone experienced the compulsive behaviour side effects of taking Mirapexin? My husband has been taking it together with co-beneldopa for over a year but has recently started to exhibit unusual sexual behaviour which he says he cannot help. This is causing problems with him removing his incontinence

treatment update
I havent been on here for a while because I forgot my password! I was diagnosed with appendix cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei in June after a laparotomy and I thought I would update everyone about what has happened since then. Im back at work although Ive had more sick days than I would normally have

Day 3 & 4
Just updating my blog on the Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and Occupational Therapy that I have been taking part in. Days 3 & 4 have been much less painful for me and I'm really enjoying myself. I have started making my woven stool in OT and I'm very proud of it. It's held on a high rack, which help

Does anyone have a balance problem?
Hi everyone When I stand up right if I lean slightly forward I can stay standing but if I stand completly up right I fall backwads. ( ie when I stand up from the loo usually ) I fell last night at the bottom of our stairs. I was just standing waiting for my chair to come down when as if in slow motion

Re SHEETS FEELING PAINFUL ON LEGS.
I give a reply to some on who was having problems with sheets being painful on legs, I am sorry I forgot who it was that I was writing to. Just that one of the remides for this would be a leg cage that they use in hospital. It takes the weight of the sheets off the legs. Have a word with your GP,

Barium Test results not good.
A few weeks ago i posted a question about a stricture at the bottom of my stomach tube and was waiting to see my surgeon as regards the test results for the Barium Swallow that i'd recently had. Well i saw the surgeon yesterday and the news wasn't good. He said that at this time there was no cancer there

Stricture in lower stomach tube requires dilating.
After having my Barium Swallow this week i was told that i need a dilatation done in theatre. The lower bit of stomach tube that i have after the oesophagectomy and comes through the diaphram has gone so narrow that the Barium barely trickled through and showed a severe narrowing. The Radiology Consultant

Lump found in oesophageal stump.
I recently had an endoscopy because of swallowing difficulties and although no biopsies were taken a lump that takes up a quarter the size of my oesophagel stump was found and photographed. I had oesophagectomy for Achalasia back in 2004. After the endoscopy i asked the doctor about this lump as they

Cocaine....
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience as to why Cocaine use would help relieve COPD symptoms and allow more physical exercise and better breathing when doing so...? i was able to function sexually and use the stairs when walking around, things i could only dream of doing before.

Back at work .... been missing in action for a while
Hi all - I've started my phased return to work, and started very gradually on 3 half days for 2 weeks. (I am in a full time job) I've taken a week and a day annual leave so far and am now up to 4 half days (second week). I even managed to get a driver/assistant this week - which was a good job as I

Letter from ESA :(
Hi Guys... Three weeks ago i went for a medical examination, to be told by the Dr doing the examination that there was little point in going any further with the tests as the amount of medical evidence and the large quantity of medications i was taking daily proved that i was unfit for work. She asked
