Mistletoe
Hi all - finished 18 weeks chemo Nov 1st. Eating 90% plant based - however I was prior to dx May 2018 too. (Stage 3/grade3; brca negative). Naturopath recently told me about mistletoe injections. I would love to read your thoughts and or experience. Thank you!

Stomach virus.. Should I increase pred for a few days?
I've had a nasty stomach virus for a few days. PMR symptoms under control. Should I increase pred for a few days? Just thinking of adrenal glands. I've had a headache all day but could be due to no caffeine. Thanks friends.

Lung Transplant listing...
For those who already know 20 months ago I was told by Papworth that I was severe enough for a transplant but due to a damaged Oesophagus due to reflux I didn’t qualify!!! Last March I broke down in front of my respiratory consultant and told her that I felt I’d been let down by the system. She personally

Spitting up blood only in the Mornings
I am new here. I am not a smoker, never have been and every morning I clear my throat by spitting out my phlem and the horrible unusual taste in my mouth only in the mornings. It is red blood, red mucus, and two different mornings I spit up/out a blood clot. Been to the ER twice now, blood work says

Vagus Nerve Stimulation
Hi, I have had single sided tinnitus now for about 9 months. I have had the MRI stuff and with no abnormalities have been left to just get on with the kettle boiling sound in one ear. I have done the normal rounds of cranial sacral, meditation, yoga all, I am afraid, to no effect. Then I found this:

Enlarged/prominent thyroid
Is it possible that a thyroid can be enlarged and absolutely nothing is wrong. I’m really struggling to get a hold on my health which has been dropped in the last year, particularly the last 4 months. I was certain I had thyroid issues but I’ve been told very bluntly by thyroid surgeon that I do not

ingesting small amounts of ground up willow tree bark daily improves cancer survival 20 to 30%
"Overall, the analysis revealed that the chances of surviving a cancer diagnosis were 20–30 percent greater among people who took aspirin compared with those who did not. This was true at any given point after receiving the diagnosis." https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/323206.php

Strange/hopeful realization
I am new to this forum, I’m 19 and my tinnitus started about two months ago, not sure why. It is in both ears, one consistent hum and one ‘ringing bell’ like sound. There are possibly more, I have been obsessively avoiding listening to them. Luckily so far I can’t hear them over the sound of the tv or

Checking your own medications - lesson reinforcement!
I have written about our wonderful xmas with OH in hospital before. Today we have a new instalment to add: Another detail to add to David's "perfect storm" event over xmas: he is on diltiazem hydrochloride (a calcium channel blocker) for BP/atrial fibrillation. Apparently this drug increases the blood

Feeling of something stuck in throat constantly— HELP! Advice needed
Has anyone had the feeling of something stuck in their throat? No matter what I do, it won’t go away!!! It has been over a month. I went to the urgent care in late December and got prescribed 10 day round of antibiotics, steroid and inhaler. They claimed it was probably sinus infection and bronchitis
