Help with results and medication prescribed
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s a few months ago after some routine private bloods for peri-menopause issues. TPO antibodies result then was >1300. Was advised by private menopause clinic to see private thyroid clinic. Also went to GP who said he would just monitor with yearly bloods as TSH fine. But

Elbow Bursitis
Now that I have been on T3 Liothyronine for a few weeks some symptoms are improving. I was feeling much less stiff, and muscle pain had improved. Unfortunately I have now developed what I think is an elbow bursitis. When I read about it most articles say you are at higher risk with Thyroid disease. Currently

There is hope
Hi all - I wanted to update everyone on a positive experience and to hopefully debunk some of the myths. For context I live in the Republic of Ireland and also have private medical insurance (this is very common in Ireland). 55, male and generally fit. I was having episodes of waking up, bolt upright

Blood test comments before Endo appointment, please
I had blood tests done last month and the FT3 reading is high. I am concerned my endo may want to lower my dose (Thybon 20Henning). He sees me once a year when it is time to order another year's supply. He is registered in France as well as the UK so his prescriptions are valid in the EU. My tests

Gaslighting GP 🙈
Hello 👋 members , I just wanted to pop back and say thank you all for commenting on my posts regarding my John who has primary hyperparathyroidism . My goodness we didn’t have a very good experience today at local doctors 🙈 He wasn’t concerned with blood pressure and wasn’t going to do a referral

Why still low Iron
Hi everyone, Firstly, I wanted to mention that I'm trying my best to remain resilient through this rollercoaster of hormonal fluctuations, but I must admit, I do falter at times. Today, I find myself confined to bed, feeling rather overwhelmed. However, knowing that there are others who can relate keeps

My Osteoprosis Diagnosis!
Hi All, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis earlier this year - early July. I had an DEXA Scan in late June! My osteoporosis is due to my age as I'm now menopausal - haven't had a period in last few years. I also have epilepsy & many epilepsy medications can affect how the body absorbs vitamin D as it

Medicheck bloods - some advice please?
Hello everyone, took the suggestion of this wonderful group and got some private bloods done before my next gp review . The online gp stated that my thyroxine dose of 50 mcg were working well for me and vits were excellent. That’s doesn’t really match how I feel day to day although much better than before

Help with Blood Test Results again please.
Hello again, I would really appreciate feedback on my last test results please. Thanks to your previous advice I managed to convince an Endocrinologist to increase my Levothyroxine from 75mcg to 88mcg which I have been taking since last April. At the time of the last results I had been on that dose
