Vitamin D Deficiency
His blood results are essentially normal apart from a low level of 25-OH
Vitamin

. He eats well and gets plenty of sunshine. Should we use tablets to try and increase his
Vitamin

levels?

I have ordered dome zinc, selenium, L thyroxine, black cumin seed oil caps, and
vitamin
d
to see this will make a difference. I find that the GP I see, not being nasty , I don't feel like she does the best for me.

What AI Says About Supplements and Off-Label Drug Use Regarding Prostate Cancer
Vitamin

: Several meta-analyses of observational studies note
vitamin

levels above vs below ~30 ng/mL to be associated with reduced prostate cancer progression or mortality, suggesting possible protective effects. However, causality remains uncertain.

Post Covid B12 and Vitamin D crash
I have now just had Covid again and B12 and
Vitamin
D
has crashed and all my symptoms are back, as well as changes in my total iron, thyroid and a massive drop in oestrogen. It's very overwhelming trying to fix it all over again!

HELP before speaking to GP tomorrow!
I do eat a lot of
Vitamin
D
rich foods so I’m confused as to why I am always so low on
Vitamin
D
. Is there any reason why I would be borderline or on the lower range of Ferritin despite having good Iron levels? None of this really shows why I have such debilitating fatigue.

Hubby and his heart
This has shown up that he has fluid around his heart as it's just not pumping properly, is severely anaemic and his

levels were low. The Dr has put him on Bisparol, a diuretic, iron tablets and
vitamin
D
.

Vitamin D and Anemia: Insights into an Emerging Association
In summary, there is strong evidence both epidemiologically and mechanistically to support a role for
vitamin
D
in iron metabolism, but further clinical trials are needed to clarify the therapeutic efficacy of
vitamin
D
in improving anemia.
