Take it with a grain of salt (and pepper), vitamin D
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2773074 I would still stay away from any supplement that gives me more than 100% of any substance....even if high doses have been used in most of the studies mentioned in that paper

advice needed please re iron and thyroxine
hi there, I’d really appreciate some advice. I’ve been on Thyroxine for a number of years and have been fine, I’ve just been told that I have Anaemia and have started on Ferrous Fumarate tabs 210 mg. I’ve started to feel tearful and anxious this last week and wonder if the iron is affecting my thyroid

Advice needed please about liquid Levothyroxine side effects
Hello, I wrote a post about a month ago saying my adult son was unable to get liquid levothyroxine as it was out of stock. He was taking the brill Pharma brand and tolerated it really well. The chemist managed to source Teva liquid levothyroxine three weeks after we asked for a repeat prescription

Gabapentin and Oxycodone
Hi I'm back, looking for more advice from the wise ones on HealthUnlocked. I recently came off Pramipexole and persuaded my (UK NHS) neurologist to prescribed Oxycodone/Nalazone. I take 10mgs in the morning and 20 about 7.00pm (any later and it doesn't work). This led to an improvement, but my sleep

hypothyroidism and peripheral neuropathy
I have hypothyroidism diagnosed in 2019 from a blood test with no symptoms that were recognised as such. I now believe, confirmed by advice in this forum, that my levo dose was too low, and have recently succeeded in getting it increased. At around the same time I developed aching, weakness and numbness

Iron deficiency
After blood tests showed low ferritin and other values indicating iron deficient anaemia, the NHS did a fairly thorough job over 6 months with various tests and procedures to eliminate internal bleeds as a cause ( anticoagulant doesn't help!). Finally given the all clear and advised that iron supplementation

Can low iron cause intolerance to thyroxine?
hello, Please see my prev post for my iron results. Since starting levo last year I have felt increasingly unwell on it. Mainly crippling joint and muscle pain which isn’t present when I’m not taking it, unfortunately the introduction of t3 at end of last year has only worsened this too. I can hardly

*Sensitive* OTD BFP
Today is our official test day and I can’t believe I’m writing this but we have our BFP, and our first dye stealer on the first response. This was our third transfer and last embryo. I don’t feel how I thought I would feel, I don’t feel excited yet, I’m just filled with anxiety like I’m waiting for something

Now for something completely different

Interaction of Statins with other medicine
Just looking for some guidance - is there any known interaction between statins and other medicine that one needs to be aware of? I am mostly interested in the usual stuff like antibiotics or vitamins, or stuff you usually get at the pharamacy for when you are under weather for minor conditions. Given
