I think you can just keep taking it. Are you doing blood testing for any other reason’s, if you are you can probably add it in. Check Dr Sarah Myhill’s website. I pretty sure she says it’s impossible to overdose. You should certainly carry on through the winter. Maybe check next summer?
You should test now or asap to see how well you are absorbing and avoid toxicity (which is unlikely unless youre taking extremely high doses). Test ~2 times/year although you may eventually be able to reduce if you notice stable serum figures e.g. plot on a graph. See a link below for target dose calculation etc if you dont have one.
Yes here in UK daily supplements needed (except if you manage to get outside on our relatively few sunny days) to maintain.
You can definately over dose on vit D so noooo don't just keep taking. You cannot excrete excess vit D. So if you were deficient you should retest after 3-6months of supplementing. If you are then optimal you may need an maintenance dose or you may need to top up periodically. Therefore test Vit D level annually after that. GP will check every two years for you.
What level would vitamin D toxicity be in the blood levels?
You should aim to stay in range. I aim towards the top of the range.

Ah. So near 150? Interesting when I have researched this I have not found a definitive answer. And, sometimes when I see people posts results, the company seem to suggest 70-250 is optimal like this person’s healthunlocked.com/thyroidu....
I take it every day and retest every six months to make sure I’m at the right level.
An overdose can feel like sunstroke, quite distinctive symptoms of nausea and dizzyness. Some people once optimised only take it in autumn and winter, topping up with natural sunlight (hopefully) in the summer !

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

There’s a version made that also contains vitamin K2 Mk7.

I’ve tested regularly around every 2/3months to make sure my levels are where I want them, and any signs of vitamin d toxicity (although how we judge this is up for debate) especially as I started taking 4000ui per day. When my levels reached 100, I take the 4000ui every few days a week accounting for the fact that it’s winter now and there’s no sun to top it up.

As with all deficiencies, you'll have to test to see what you Vit D levels are before and after supplementation. "IF" you numbers keep dropping then you'll have to continue to take it. Getting to the ''real" root of why your body is potentially not holding onto it is the fun part..
