Iron and B12
Just caught the back end of a TV programme where a "doctor" was advising that an iron deficiency and vit B12 deficiency may be the cause of peoples T issues. Anyone been down this route or have I misheard the TV? Tried using search function in the forum but never found anything TIA

Rivaoxiban
Hi, I'm new this site.I've been on Rivaoxiban for about 10 years. I always get a really bad headache or a bad nosebleed, I have been told from the hospital to take it after breakfast with water. If I take it on an empty stomach I'm bad with my headaches they can last most of the day,so I take paracetamol

Hello, I am in need of advice. I have had mildly elevated liver enzymes and can’t figure out the cause of it. I have been tested for everything and anything related to the liver (autoimmune, hepatitis, liver diseases) I have had a normal ultra sound and fibroscan. All lab work is normal except AST and

Hi everyone, A while ago I posted about how my RLS had virtually gone following the use of vitamin B1, in addition to the usual magnesium. Fennel also appeared to help. I am diabetic (type 2) and appear to have some form of neuropathy in the feet which can feel numb sometimes but not to the touch

Exercise and Low Thyroid: Am I doing more harm than good? Advice, please!
I would like to ask about having low thyroid levels and doing exercise. I have hypo symptoms, and blood tests show low FT3 and FT4, but normal TSH (for reference, last blood test results are below). So far, no doctor or endocrinologist thinks I have any thyroid issue. One of my symptoms has been unexplained

Good day family, my story is I was diagnosed with graves disease in 2022 and I had symptoms of shortness of breath(and many others) and the physician didn't know why I was having shortness of breath and ended up having to do thyroidectomy(had I seen this group before I wouldn't have done it) Now I

Perhaps it's just the dreaded winter blues
Hey y'all! I joined back in 2019 and I'm back. Woohoo?? Here is what is on today's docket. I myself work in the mental health field. So often everyone else's pain, suffering, doubts, trauma, insecurities-- get dumped on me. I listen and help them process. But I myself am fucked up. This, thankfully

Blood results
Have recently had a private blood test done to check my B12, results were 47.4 (range 37.5-188) It was an active B12 test. Notes from doctor were it is borderline, and for me to get a mma blood test next, is this something the gp will do for me even though my results are not low?

Iron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anemia: Potential Risk Factors in Bone Loss
Members are likely all too familiar with patients being told that they are suffering osteopenia or osteoporosis due to having too much thyroid hormone. And, especially, too much T3. While it is important to realise that there is a case to be made regarding excess thyroid hormone, it is just as important

Suppressed TSH but hypo symptoms
Cold turkey stopped levothyroxine (synthroid) 200mcg for 17 days in Nov 2022. Prior, felt great. Went back on 200mcg right away and had every hyperthyroid symptom, it was hell. (tsh 0.04 FT4 18 (9-19)) I have been trying to find my dosage ever since. Titrated from 125mcg, 150mcg, 175mcg, 200mcg.

Daughter thyroid results
HiI am new here with a question for my daughter (19). She is really struggling with fatigue so much so she is home from Uni. Also feels sick, headaches, really cold hands and feet and very pale. She had low ferritin last year and was put on iron tablets for 3 months. She went for a private blood test

Feeling anxious about appointment....
Just wondering if anyone can shed any information that may help me understand. I've been unwell most of 2023, was in hospital for 8 days with suspected pneumonia. Prior to this I've had abnormal blood tests for a while. I'm anemic but my iron levels, vitamin b12 levels are fine... I've had a number

What the heck, Thyroid!?
Well, I found myself in this forum by following bread crumbs left by FancyPants54 Thankfully she's a bit messy with her snacks 😊 I've been on Pernicious anemia forum for the past few years dealing with my PA/AMAG. I think I may have been selected by whomever makes such selections to have the benefit

On BBC Sounds , "Just one thing" by Dr Michael Mosley there are two programmes out this week which members might find interesting. One is on the many benefits of vitamin D and the other , a longer one, about inflammation in the body.

Folic acid
Hello all, I have always suffered with anxiety and heart palpitations. Recently, they became worse and I went to the GP who sent me for a blood test. The blood test showed that I have folic acid deficiency(<2.0). I've been taking 5mg folic acid for two months (I have two months left to go) and
