Silent Reflux and B12 Deficiency- Any Link?
Hello! I was diagnosed with low B12 following a blood test in December last year, on injections but only had 3 of the 6 loading doses then was moved on to one every three months due to severe side effects that worried my GP. Had my first of the 3 monthly ones a few weeks ago and all went well. I saw

Informing GP of sourcing own supplies
Hi, as some of you are aware I am in the process of writing to my GP and my MP. My GP does not know that I source my own supplies of B12. I was going to put this in my letter so that she, and my MP, can see the lengths people have to go to have any hope of recover. As B12 is not available over the counter

Results of blood test
Hi, after OH had high Tsh Levels a couple of weeks a go (radioactive iodine 14 tears a go) gp prescribed higher dose of thyroxine - now 175Results from medicheck above Low vit d - would this affect the thyroxine absorption? If he sorts that would it then be sensible to reduce the thyroxine back down

Inflammation and RLS
I have always believed that inflammation was part of my RLS. I believe this because my RLS responds well to ibuprofen. A recent blog was using this study http://www.smj.org.sg/sites/default/files/SMJ-57-514.pdf The study is from 2016. The study proposes to use the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio

Thyroid results-Hashimotos?
Hello, Looking for some help in interpreting thyroid results. I've been testing privately over the last two years. Does this show Hashimotos and would it be enough for a GP to take seriously? Since having my son three years ago I've had many unexplained symptoms - weight gain, swollen legs, fatigue,

IVF Cycle Failure/Fertility Diet
Hi - my first cycle of IVF has resulted in a negative pregnancy test. I had 10 follicles, 6 eggs retrieved, 3 mature, 2 fertilised & 1 early blastocyst which was transferred. I was on 450iu Meriofert with Ganerilix. If your first cycle failed what did you change for the second? I'm due to go again

Medichecks bloods with some very low/high bloods. Appt with GP 4th March to discuss.
My wife's bloods are still way off. It's listed below. She recently had a nasty bug on 29th December and feels shes still a bit chesty. She also developed a rash on the top front of her chest which was treated with hydrocortisone (Daktacort) but still feels there's a little left there. Still tired,

When shall I start 10K ??
OK, so I've decided to do a 10K race, and have my eye on a local one on 20 October 2024 (which is 1 day short of my first ever 5K Parkrun). I'm running 3 times a week (including a weekly Parkrun) and swimming twice weekly too. While the weather is not so "run friendly" - ie windy, dark and cold (I

B12 deficiency treated before folate deficiency
Please could someone post a link supporting the importance of this fact for PhonixGrace . Explaining B12 and folate are tested together normally for a good reason. If folate is supplemented before B12 . The b12 deficiency can be masked/ missed. Nerve/neurological damage can occur . Once B12 injections
