I have just had my T4 and TSH blood results back with T4 at 22.7 (range 10.5-21) and TSH 0.25 (range 0.35-5.5). T3 was not tested at this time. Nor Vits D and B12 or Ferritin and Folate. It was an early morning fasting blood test with last dose Thyroxine the previous morning. I am currently not taking any vitamins as when my packs finished I didn't reorder.
My Dr is usually good about testing for T3 and vits but didn't this time and I wondered if it's worth me getting these done privately? My Dr would like to reduce my dose very slightly, going from alternating 125mcg and 150mcg every other day to 125mcg 5 days and 150mcg 2 days and to test again in 6 weeks to 2 months. They are also going to take pulse and blood pressure next week.
More worryingly my overall cholesterol is 7.2 with LDL 4.46. My Dr would like to test again in 6 months but has suggested statins if it doesn't come down. Any tips? And any observations and advice in general on my thyroid results and dose?
Thank you 😊

Personnally, I wouldn't want him to change anything without seeing my FT3 results - the most important number. The fact that your cholesterol is high is suggesting that your FT3 is too low. Reducing your levo would probably reduce your FT3, too.
But, high cholesterol is nothing to worry about. It's a symptom, not a disease. Usually a symptom of low T3. Raise your FT3 and your cholesterol will drop. But high cholesterol will not give you a heart attack of stroke, as doctors would like you to believe. On the other hand, statins might!
