Cancer breakthrough as groundbreaking pill found to ‘kill tumours’
Scientists at a leading US hospital have developed a “cancer-killing pill” that kills solid tumours through “targeted chemotherapy.” Likened to a “snowstorm that closes a key airline hub, shutting down all flights in and out only in planes carrying cancer cells”, the protein was developed by a research

Coil and bloating
hi everyone. I had a coil fitted 6 weeks ago for endometriosis and since then I have been bloated constantly. I’m currently having peppermint tea, apple cider vinegar before and after meals, and buscopan but I seem to be bloated all day every day, no matter what I eat. I’ve recently cut out bread which

Hi At age 32 I had a triple negative tumour removed (lumpectomy) followed by chemo and radiotherapy. Fast forward 31 years I have just had a mastectomy after I had an oestrogen positive tumour. No chemo needed-phew! The op was 3 weeks ago & I still have a large haematoma that has already been drained

Iron Bisglycinate
I have been taking Nutravita iron bisglycinate 28mg x 2 tabs on alternate days for 3 1/2 months. My ferritin levels were originally 50 and have only risen to 67. I’m confused about the dose of the iron. Is 28mg of iron bisglycinate equivalent to 28mg elemental iron? Sue said the two tablets (equaling

Must manage your own healthcare
Hi everyone! I’m Jennifer. Found my breast cancer because God gave me an itch right on top of my tumor. It was 26mm and not seen on the 3D mammogram. I now tell everyone I know that women cannot rely on mammograms to find breast cancer. Must do regular self exams. Had double mastectomy and found macrometatastisis

Desperate & fearful.
hi all I have quite a few health problems which would take to long to go into. But recently as well as IBS I’ve been diagnosed with Diverticulosis, now this is all new to me and I just don’t know how to handle it. Because I suffer with chronic stomach pain,I can’t tell when it becomes Diverticulitis

Laxatives for constipation
What do you use? The gp has just changed me from laxido to fybogel mebeverine. I've taken half a sachet and the pain is horrendous. It is causing awful cramps. I'm not sure what to do as I can't carry on with the constipation. I tried upping the fibre and that did the same and aggrevated the symptoms

Complex ovarian cyst surgery
I have had this complex 2 cm cyst on my left ovary for 14 years now. It was under observation with periodic ulatrasounds. Now as I’ve entered menopause last year, I really think that surgery is my best option. I don’t have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, but there were other cancers on

Success with iron therapy.
I'm happy to report that after 8 weeks of iron therapy, my ferritin level has increased from 66 to 152. I began by taking one 325 mg ferrous sulfate (65 mg iron) tablet plus a 250 mg vitamin C tablet on an empty stomach at least 2 hours after consuming food. About midway, I changed the iron source

Deep-rooted anxiety
I've been grappling with what feels like an exaggerated stress response to minor triggers, leading to overwhelming anxiety and panic attacks. It's become apparent that despite my efforts in implementing various coping strategies, I haven't been able to effectively manage this heightened anxiety. At 25

Recent diagnosis of Ductal Invasive Breast Cancer
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with Ductal Invasive BC on the 11th July 2023. The lump was spotted on a CT scan which I had on the 5th June this year for an unrelated matter. I was lucky that it was picked up. I was referred to the Breast clinic for a mammogram on the 20th June which resulted in several
