SUPPLEMENTING INTO (OR OUT OF) A HEALTHIER LIFE?
Okay, I realize most hypo or hyper thyroid patients take hormone pills, T4 or T3, NDT or combo’s of these. But, I also realize that vitamin supplementation is needed and, in fact some thyroid problems are, ostensibly performed by osteopaths that many claim have helped them considerably & a combination

Glaucoma Surgery.
I’ve been suffering from secondary glaucoma for many years in my left eye. About 5 years ago I had a course of laser surgery to reduce the pressure. It’s all been good since a month ago when the pressure went up to 22. I’ve been told by my consultant that I now need Baeveldt tube inserted into my eye

I have a granddaughter who is 13 and has been diagnosed with FND 2 years ago. We have met with numerous Doctors, Neurologists, Child Psychiatrists, experimented with Chiropractors, Brain Balancing, EMDR, and healers to no avail. She is confined to a wheelchair, non-verbal, has seizures and black-outs

Lack of motivation
Hi all have not been on here for a while as motivation seemed to have deserted me, I haven't been out running for a week due to making excuses about weather, cold etc. But gave myself a kick up the butt this morning and went out. Did 8k in 70 mins, know it's not a brilliant time or speed but went slow

Latest appointment - possible genetic sequencing
I had my latest oncology telephone appointment on Tuesday. Letrozole, which had kept me stable for 2 years, stopped working earlier this year, & I've been taking Megace since August. There's little change on my latest scan, so I'm continuing to take it for now. After some discussion on my future,

Dry eyes and humidifiers
Hi Everyone I've had long standing dry eyes for many, many years (pre diagnosis of my Lupus and Relapsing Polychondritis) but in this past year the dryness has been especially awful. Alongside that I recently had a haemoraged blood vessel in one of my eyes which thankfully healed of its own accord. I've

Temperature 32.1
Today I had a forehead temperature check taken before entering a premises. They faffed about for a while and then said “that’s low”. It was 32.1. I got them to check theirs and their result was 36.5 so not a problem with the thermometer. Any thoughts? I’ve recently been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism

A few more questions from a new member
Firstly, I just wanted to say thank you for all of the replies to my first post, I have found this group to be unbelievably helpful and definitely felt a little better after reading your responses. As this is still new for me, I do have a few more questions if that’s OK. I reduced my dosage as per

Head/neck injury then PD.
First of all, I am just a newly dx (2 years) guy trying to live the best life possible. It’s fairly common to have a head or neck injury shortly before being DX with PD. Looking back, my symptoms started shortly after a head injury that damaged my neck. I was begged by a friend of mine to see this guy

Dry MD, Leaking Membrane & cataracts. How do you communicate with an eye doctor that fobs you off
Had an MD appt at eye hospital. I had had two cancelled MD appts and was very anxious as my vision has deteriorated after two bouts of flashes since my last appt in January. Sorry but I am venting here, but hoping this will give me some relief. Dr: you have MD, I haven’t had time to look at your file
