I went to emergency eye clinic yesterday to get my eye pressures check as I had pain in my left eye, one eye was 18, the other was 22, i was sent away with
viscotears
dry eye drops (I'm already using dry eye drops) I'd really like to check my pressures occasionally at home rather than go to the hospital

Sore dry eyes
The main reason for my post this morning is my dry sore eyes, which I just cant seem to get under control, despite using various over the counter eye drops, just bought
Viscotears
, which also doesnt have long lasting relief despite me applying 4 times in the day.

Update on my last visit and tests - Hyperthyroidism and Graves
He also prescribed Lacrilube and
Viscotears
for my eye. I also take 2-3 Brazil nuts for selenium and went gluten free to reduce inflammation. I’m also having epsom salts baths every other day to detox .

AMD Injection Procedure
To me, it sometimes feels as if I have grit in my eye and I use the “
Viscotears
” gel drops to relieve the symptoms, but often I don’t need to use them at all.

Sjorgrens or not
I have used
viscotears
for 14 years and the have helped previously but this last couple of weeks I get no relief from them. I am able to get some relief from slices of cucumber. I was supposed to have some sort of " special " eye test on Friday, but it was postponed.

Dry eye drops/gel
My GP prescribed preservative-free (I am allergic to preservatives)
Viscotears
single dose use eye drops. Early days but these seem to be helping, however, my RA hands are struggling to squeeze out the gel. Can any of you recommend/advise an easy to use alternative I can suggest to my GP.

Good deal for eye drops!
If you need something stickier to last overnight go for
Viscotears
. And good news . . I have had injections extended to every 12 weeks! (Though have to keep an eye on the other eye which shows small but stable area of AMD)

Awaiting results but saw scan
Often need
viscotears
at night (dry eyes) All this seems to point to AN. So of course I am deeply concerned.

Hyperthyroidism/Graves
My eyes, although no longer bulging remain dry ( watery) despite using Xailin day and night
viscotears
and Selenium. But the weight problem upsets me most, even though my diet is so healthy I am merely going through the motions ...

Terrified before third eyelear injection
Viscotears
help for about 30 minutes but the effect wears off just as you're dropping off to sleep - if only I could sleep. I have asked our local Boots to get me some thealoz duo which was recommended by my optician but they can't get it in before my appointment at the hospital.

Table showing topical therapies for very dry eyes
My GP just prescribed
Viscotears
for my excessively dry eyes and it was only when I went to Eye A&E with scleritis and mentioned as an aside how painfully dry my eyes were that I was given 2 better ocular-lubricants, most importantly both without preservatives. I now get these on script instead.

Dry eyes
I use Systain eye drops and some " long lasting "
viscotears
. While I'm.in moan mode I've got bad itchy prickly heat on my arms too. No antihistamines has helped. This prickly heat is caused by me driving the car with the window down. I burn so easy since been on the tablets

Eye problems
My husband had the same problem and had
Viscotears
prescribed by our GP, which seemed to work. I have some here to hand so will try them. Re the pressure, I think that this is coming from all the fat deposited around my eyelids, and now starting underneath the eyelids as well.

Hylo eye drops
I have been changed to these as the
Viscotears
had preservative in them. But with the RA and OA plus the osteoporosis I just can't press the bottom of the 'jar' to get a dose out. Anyone any ideas. I do need to use them and they have no preservative in them.

Itchy eyes - Like a Gritty Toad
I've tried
viscotears
, hypromellose and just rubbing 'Don't keep rubbing your eyes, dear!' and so far just rubbing has proved to be by far the best. So there. Once you have no Thyroid tissue at all, you're open to many or all of the odd conditions around - thyroid orbitopathy, anyone?
