Macular
my doc says any natural eye drops are fine. Hope this helps
I use Viscotears on prescription for dry eye between injections, but not on the day of because once opened they are no longer sterile. The hospital gives me several single use sterile doses to smooth after injecting, on the day. These are available to buy over the counter, the important fact being they are single use and sterile.
My gp prescribes me two bottles of soothing drops at a time so on inj day I can open a new sterile bottle.
Ive used Hypromellose and Hylotear. Find the Hylotear better in wintery wndy conditions as its thicker so seems to last longer between applications.
Ty all
Dear Suejoyce,
It is worth contacting the eye clinic to discuss this further before using them.
Kind regards,

I just experienced EXTREME pain after second injection in my left eye. The first one hurt too. Have had injections in my right eye for several years - unpleasant but no severe pain. All with the same Dr. I have stopped the left eye injections. The bleeding in the left eye has just started and i read that taking Lutein and (I think) Zeaxanthin (the second one I didn't write down well but you can find this information by going into Macular degeneration treatment for. I asked an expert on age related vision problems and she said the two substances would NOT CURE but would greatly slow the progress of Macular degeneration if taken early in the progress of the disease. They won't help my right eye but the bleeding is very new in my left eye. I ordered one bottle for about $50.00 including shipping. I hope this is helpful for others with my difficulty.
