Fed up on pred.
Been on pred now for 7 months, in between this I've had one hospital admission and 5 weeks off work. Still on pred, up and down with dosage, get to 18mg and have to go back up to 30 mg as I start to get systom again. So today back up to 30mg, so again I am emotionally unstable, work is becoming more

Hello I'm new ....
I've been to see my doctor about breathlessness and wheezing after the slightest exercise. I can't even walk the dog around the block without wheezing really badly. My chest feels constantly sore. I've had an chest x-ray and it was clear. Doctor has given me Ventolin to use when I need it which

Mild asthma? No asthma?
I wonder if other people recognise this: - occasional flare-ups of probably fairly mild breathing problems; often no problems at all when just sitting and fairly out of breath when walking. - flare-up lasts about 3-6 weeks with fits of breathlessness mainly happening at night, rarely at day unless the

Week 6 Run 1
Started off on my walk and realised I'd left my Fitbit charging indoors, cue very quick dash back home, all within the 5 minute walk. Off on the runs, which were mainly spent dodging the debris of storm Katie. Remembered to have a puff of Ventolin before leaving and spent the first run actually singing

SPACER ADVICE
Hi there, Does anyone know which what is the most effective way to use a spacer when inhaling preventer or reliever medication? I have been using the four breath approach but recently tried one single breath when inhaling ventolin through a spacer and felt I got better results. Thoughts anyone?

So many things should have gone wrong. My "rest" day yesterday was an accidental 10KM walk with the hound. We got a bit lost and she is still giving me evil looks like morning. The worst run I've done so far was a morning one and yet, here I was about to go out just after 8. IT WAS BLOODY AMAZING!

Spring has sprung
Well I'm feeling a bit better still not 100% but getting there slowly used my ventolin a lot less today so far and had a good night sleep. And on a positive not on the first day of Spring the sun is shinning here in Liverpool hope it's shining where you are 🌞

Allergic Asthma and Train Travel.
I've had asthma for quite a few years and recently it has changed to Allergic Asthma. Through this side of asthma I had to leave my old job working in retail due to the different environments and the products the company sold. At the end of 2015 I joined a new company and explained all about my health

When your asthma nurse gives up on you maybe there is something else happening
Timothy! We have tried everything you can’t keep chopping and changing! These were the harsh words coming down the telephone from my asthma nurse who was seemingly giving up on me. No offer of help, no understanding just the pain in the backside patient that she wanted rid of. Can I go back to Symbicort

Copd
Hi, Hope you are all well. I was diagnosed with copd in January this year. To be truthful with all of you good people I still can't get my head around this condition. I have tried to read up about this condition from the internet but sometimes the Internet is not always right I'm really bothered about

GP appointments
About two weeks ago I had an exacerbation which lasted all morning. After inhaling Ventolin and resting I began to feel well enough not to call an ambulance. I phoned my surgery for an appointment but was told I couldn't see my GP until the 16 March. I was none too pleased about this but accepted

Feeling blah.
Hello on this bright and sunny Sunday. Have not been feeling "right" for a week now and yesterday realised I have managed to catch a bit of a cold. Sneezing and dry cough resulting in a sore throat. Upped my ventolin even though my peak flow was good (better than it has been for a while actually

Ventolin
Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying your weekend. I've just been told I have Asthma !! I've been prescribed ventolin but on reading the leaflet it says there can be an interaction while taking Amiodarone (I'm also on Bi soprolol and Warfarin). I rang the pharmacy and was told nothing was flagged up
