Nebulisers
I started with my home nebulisers yesterday, budesonide and ventolin nebules. Since starting I have felt quite nauseous is this normal. My consultant decided to cut short my 6 week preds course as they weren’t helping, so I’m pleased to be off those but now just feel really sick.

Prescriptions & charges
Hi All I have mild COPD (coupled with adult onset asthma) and am on Clenil 100 brown inhalers 2 puffs, morning and night and ventolin before I run. All these cost a considerable amount of money when you add it all up. I heard recently that Chronic illnesses such as this should get free prescriptions,

Confused
I’m currently not well but really not sure what’s going on. Blocked nose but no temperature so thought it was just a cold.Mon/Tues breathing was fast and shallow, some chest tightness but this went with ventolin. PF was 360 (best 460 but normal is more like 420; that was a one off at GP’s). Weds went

Chest Pain?
Hello! Just wanted to know if chest pain is a common symptom for anyone? The past few days I haven't had much tightness, but have started having some chest pain-- it isn't constant, but is kind of a dull soreness or ache. This happened last month too, and when I went into see my specialist, she wasn't

Salbutamol/ventolin asthma
I think doses/puffs can be confusing as it depends on what strength we are discussing Ventolin /Salbutamol (blue inhaler). I take a 200 microgram Salbutamol turbohaler. Even having asthma in the family it took me 4 years from my first asthma attack at 15 until I was finally diagnosed at 19. I have

It’s holiday season and here is a time and place to admit our sins... so here goes my most recent - Last night my PF dropped to 30%, but I did nothing but treat with ventolin 🤫🤫🤫 Anyone else have any confessions? Let it off your chest to get on Santa’s nice list! 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎄🎁

Feeling so ill
I have had a high fever and a little vomiting and diarrhoea over weekend. Saw Dr yesterday. I have diverticulitis. I was diagnosed with diverticular disease some 10+ years ago. Last night I was violently sick 3 times yellow and then at 2 a.m it was brown. Dr said to call if no better in 2/3 days. I

Can Post Nasal Drip Trigger Asthma?
Hi, I recently was diagnosed with what initially presented as seasonal asthma over the summer, which settled but then came back after a cold, which lingered for the best part of 3 weeks and I needed steroids to get my asthma stable again... I am also taking Avamys nasal spray as I also suffer from Eustachian

I have emphysema but was treated for asthma. How can they tell if I have both or just emphysema.
Hi all. Basically I have been shown to have emphysema after a ct scan for a heart op. I already have a steroid inhaler and rescue inhaler given to me by my gp surgery for the last 3 years or so. What I want to know is can an asthma nurse be sure I have any asthma? I believe the reversibility test also

Aloflute
Just been for my seretide prescription and been given aloflute 125/25 not seretide. Anybody been given this? I thought they couldn't change it without prior notice to the patient. Already been changed ventolin to salami.

Too much Seretide? Lower back pain Left + Right
Is it possible that my Seretide 250 inhaler 3 puffs am & pm could be causing lower back /kidney aches? If tried lowering to 2 puffs twice a day but then I’m reaching for ventolin. Is anyone else on a high dose like me?

Reasons To Be Cheerful
Reasons To Be Cheerful (and greatful) this Christmas. Thank You Sir David Jack & Team Don’t recognise the name? You (and me) owe this guy and his Team ‘Big Time’. The Blue Inhaler that gets us out of trouble so often, was the result of their development of Salbutamol back in 1966, at a subsidiary of

Walking the tightrope
What do you do when you’re at the beginning of a flare and you’re not great but not bad enough to see anyone/do anything?😬😅 I’m currently on a very slow downwards spiral which feels different to usual due to starting mepo I think. I’m quite tight and have a poor PF (45-60%), but otherwise no (or very
