Peak flow keeps dropping debating a trip to A&E it's currently at 230 asthma plan says if it goes below 210 then go. I'm feeling really rubbish had two salbutamol nebs which have not helped and loads of ventolin inhalers plus topped up with extra fostair ... Doing everything I've been told.

What works better for you.... Pro-Air or Ventolin?
I just doing my research on Albuterol inhaler. For me, I notice that Pro-air works better for me for quick relief. Please share your experience on your situation. If there any other inhaler that works better, please let me know.

Dear All I greatly blessed with having an asthma nurse of 20 years experience. After needing my inhaler (Ventolin) more that 3 times last week. I made myself an appointment tomorrow pm to see her again. Her advise when I spoke to her last was to use my Ventolin when my chest was aching. All this rain

Confirmation
Well, I had it confirmed today that I do have asthma. I've been keeping a peak flow chart as asked to do so. Alison my asthma nurse said "your in the club, definitely have asthma" Feel much better since being on the Clenil Modulite with Ventolin as top up. It's nice not to sound like a sad set of bagpipes

Reducing meds
Just wondered what the criteria for reducing meds as I'd like to be off the seretide that I'm currently taking. I use my ventolin about 2 times a week and whenever I exercise. I'm not due to see the gp for another 3 months but my action plan is due for review. Would the doctors contact me to update

What a performance! - but sadly, not in a good way :D
This week has been crazy and I haven't had any opportunity to run. Although I had an early appointment today, I was up even earlier, so grabbed the chance to get out there even though it would just be for a short run. I thought I'd do Speed - perfect! Or not. I checked the temperature and it said

Hi folks. I realise that my asthma is relatively mild in comparison to others on this forum but I am concerned it's flaring up again as I'm coughing up green gunk, wheezing and have the sniffles. Daughter recently diagnosed
Hi all, I'm new to this. My youngest daughter has had a persistent cough for about 4 weeks now. It started when we were on holiday and originally put it down to being away and being in a different environment. Unfortunately, the cough didn't improve. In fact it got worse, she has big coughing fits and

Wondering about inhalers and asthma exacerbation.
Hello all, Thankfully, have not had an asthma exacerbation whilst on the new inhalers -ciclesonide and seretide. Had a sinus problem and used my ventolin then and all was well. Was wondering if like with my old inhalers I could up the dose of these if I did have a bad asthma exacerbation. Previously

Brand new to this, well, sort of - and need help to learn
My question is: when do I know I should take ventolin? This may sound odd, but perhaps less so with my story below. Now in my sixties I was diagnosed in the last couple of years. I had noticed myself wheezing intermittently and briefly, and then For a period found it hard to breathe out on excercise.

Fail to prepare, prepare to almost fail!
Landed at my desk at 07:25 this morning, left said desk at 19:05 this evening. Lunch was an afternoon of scoffing sandwiches and cake in a meeting. Legged it home and downed a quick cup of tea as I HAD to do W9R1 tonight, if I'm to attempt graduation at a park run on Saturday. So, quick change and

Not a great week Grrrrrrrr..
Hello, after much trial and error I had finally got this asthma thing under control 😉 Off the steroids , started exercising again and then went into work on Thursday morning to be told that I was a casualty of 're-organisation ' and my job no longer existed. I've been there 6 years. Suffice to say

What to do...
Hi folks. Since coming down with a cold at the weekend I have developed a chest infection which's made my asthma flare up so I am coughing and wheezing much more than usual. " Asthma is over diagnosed and trivialised"
This is a headline on the BBC news website today. The article continues by saying ' as a result a child is admitted to hospital every 20 minutes with an asthma attack.....and asthma attacks still kill the equivalent of a classroom of children every year in the U.K.' I know my daughters were handed Ventolin
