Today is so far a good day
After a terrible few days with yesterday being the worse so far. I was thinking very strongly of going to A+E but I phoned my surgery for advice. Good enough my Asthma nurse phoned me back within 10 mins and told me to double up on my seretide and to use the ventolin as often as I needed and if things

Totally fed up 😒
Feel really low I know one asthma trigger is due to hormones and time of month so I'm prepared for it next month, went to see the asthma nurse yesterday and all was fine but woke up this morning full of cold wheezing coughing. I've had to use ventolin a good few times looks like it's back to the Drs

Symbicort
I'm very excited. After a brief trial with clenil, which didn't agree with me,my GP started me on Symbicort. Started it about ten days ago. I haven't had to use ventolin for a week now. Went out to my local town this afternoon, which is very hilly, and managed to walk from bottom to top in one go and

I CURED MYSELF OF COPD?
I was diagnosed with COPD in the summer of 2013 having suffered with constant coughing both day and night for about 6 months prior. I was unable to lie down in bed to sleep and had to sit upright propped-up with pillows so that I could at least get a little relief. Even so I was lucky if I could get

Very high peak flow, but very hard to breath!
I'm a bit scared lately and need help. I take a purple inhaler now having previously used Clenil Modulite and Serevent. I also have Ventolin which I am needing more and more of now, despite the improving weather etc. I never cough or wheeze, but I do get some chest tightness, visial disturbance, burning

Hi
Hi. I'm 52, and been asthmatic all my life. Got really bad after a persistent chest infection about seven years ago. Came close to having to give up work. Then my fab doctor prescribed Singulair which was life changing and stopped the hacking cough I'd had for five years. Still quite wheezy, and short

Pain between shoulders when breathing in
Hi everyone not too good at the moment have a pain when I breathe in across the top of my back using ventolin quite a lot. Thought it is a chest infection but I've not had a cold, I work in a school and at the moment staff are dropping like flies with one illness after another don't know if I should

Virus asthma and fed up
Hi there I'm getting increasingly frustrated. My asthma consultant has said I have GORD, verified by scan I had for clot on the lung six months ago. She thinks I don't have asthma. Yet yesterday had an attack, wheezing coughing short of breath. Had to ring 999, who were great. After 10 puffs of ventolin

Dr refusing medication
I've recently changed my doctors surgery to one that better understands the needs of an asthmatic. At my previous surgery I requested an extra ventolin inhaler with my usual repeats because I'd had a heavy cold and my breathing had been erratic, usually there is no problem and my doctor knows that I

Should I go back to the hospital?
Hi guys I've had a Cold for a few days and yesterday started getting a cough which then kept me up all night. This morning my reliever wouldn't stop the wheezing but it helped ease the tightness. I then started getting chills and joint pain so I went to the out of hours where I was given ventolin nebulizers

Rant (again!)
This is the only place where I feel that I can rant without having people take offence so apologies in advance! Last week a colleague wore a new perfume to work and then complained because it made her feel ill. I mentioned that my lungs didn't like it much either. On Wednesday she wore it again and
